I don't consider Uncharted to be a rip-off of Tomb Raider. It's in the same genre, yes.....has platforming (not like TR), has gun play (not like TR.)

The new Tomb Raider also stands on it's own although the fact they are focusing more on building up Lara's character and showing her human side, I think, has to do with Uncharted....maybe not....but I think so. Still not a rip off....

I think the term rip off is being used loosely here.

I really liked the first 2 Uncharted games (haven't picked up 3 yet), but this looks like it could be a decent option for non-PS3 owners.

Like someone else said, many games copy from each other, but that doesn't lessen the game. I loved Dante's Inferno and Darksiders, 2 games which were accused of being rip-offs of other games. Both were done very well. I'd still like to see a Dante's sequel though.

I don't believe it's stealing at all. A dev sees a need and fills it. I think we could spend all day pointing out games on ALL consoles that have borrowed from each other.

I totally agree. For example we could say Uncharted "stole" Gears of War cover system or "stole" Gears of War horde mode with co-op arena. Everybody borrows ideas from each other. And theres nothing wrong with that as long as the ideas are well implemented.

I wasn't having a go at the fact. I was merely pointing it out.

In fact you'll find that I commend them for their efforts.
