Black Ops 2 trailer introduces the villain, Raul Menendez

Activision has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops II entitled “Villain Trailer”. It gives you the first glimpse of Raul Menendez, “the most insidious villain in Call of Duty history,” and “idolized as the heor of the 99%.” Watch it below, highlighted with Reznor’s score. Game’s out in November on PC, PS3, and 360.

It looks like a similar story to every other cod campaign. Kill all these enemies and then shoot the bad guy leader. Meh, should be a good warm up for the MP.

I'm not a big fan of the franchise but I thought it was a cool trailer.

Cordis Die, the faction in the game, is said to be Latin for "The Heart".

I'm also hearing rumor that they are bringing in a jetpack spawn-in system which combats being spawn trapped. Kind of similar to Battlefields parachuting in I'm assuming.

I know that the story might be somewhat cliché, but I think it looks fantastic. A very under-appreciated aspect of the Call of Duty series is their campaigns, which throughout the past few games have been superb (although, I must admit, I never completed MW3's). Treyarch really seems to be shooting to go above and beyond past installments and make Black Ops II better not only in multiplayer and with zombies, but with the campaign, too.

Campaign might not be the highlight of the COD games for me, but it certainly is going to be a fun ride.
