http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/07/1...s-wii-us-powerIn a recent interview with Digital Spy, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada opened up about his experience working with Nintendo's latest home console, Wii U. According to Harada, development is "coming along smoother than most people would think, as far as the look of the game." While he finds the system's graphical power on the same par as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, he noted that the Wii U's CPU is a bit slower than the competition.
"As far as graphical processing and such, it's not much of an issue," he said. "But as far as the CPU goes, the clock is kinda low. I guess they're trying to keep power consumption down so we have to come up with creative ways to get around that and that's taking a little bit of time." When specifically asked if it was slower than the PS3 and 360, he responded "maybe a little bit."
As for the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Harada asserts progress is "coming along quite rapidly" and isn't far behind the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. And while the world still awaits official word on a Wii U release date, Harada is eager to get the game out "as close as possible" to when the other versions release on September 14.
