The flip lid is really going to decrease the cost of the blu-ray drive. If this has smaller scale architecture than the 40nm Slim, then the power consumption i.e. wattage and heat are going to be a lot less, doubtful it will have a brick. One only needs to look at the power supply in the Fat to the Slim then a couple years to this. Sony has leveled off on hard core console gamers with the PS3 and now is the time to go for even wider demographics with a $199, probably a 320GB hard drive. It is a bit strange though because Sony knows as soon as the flip lid PS2 came out, that allowed for disk swapping exploits and when PS2 piracy really took off.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same way but I miss the silver trim, or whatever it's called, that ran across one side of the console.

I've played games on the 120GB PS3 Slim model for the past couple years but I always thought the original 60GB model looked like a beast due to some of its finer details. I'm glad Sony changed the console logo to something more unique though. The Spider-Man text was a little tacky.
