I bought an Xbox yesterday and overall, I know it's early days but I found my Xbox was more aimed at Kids. I don't really care for some crappy little avatar and the billing and registration is just as fiddly with the PS3.

I think that the PS3 is more pick up and play now.

MEh, for me, the 360 controller is really only good for 3rd person shooters and FPS. Anything else, it's awkward and a drag - sports games, action games, platformers, racing games etc.

I know cos I use one for my laptop.

meh, I like the PS3 controller, even though I am not fond of the inverted triggers I hope they correct this crap in the PS4. other then that I like it better Xbox controllers. just use to the analog and the sensitivity on it. I don't like the awkward placement of the analogs on the Xbox controller, it's stupid.

how to fix the PS3 controller...

set the sticks up like 360's, give it some proper triggers and allow the users to set said triggers as the primary firing option and you would have the best pad. i do hate it when i'm forced to use the bumpers as triggers with no option to set the triggers as triggers.

I have a third party controller now for my PS3 that has a layout like the 360 for the analog sticks (offset). If the next PS controller offsets them like the 360 controller, I would not replace my PS controller.

I hope they don't change the PS3 controller like the 360.

Or of they do, they don't have the crappy low quality buttons and D-Pad. That shit is cheap, and makes playing games like Assassin's Creed (or any game like that) and sports games, and lol any other game that isn't a shooter; very awkward to play.

Id have to buy a 3rd party controller if they did same as 360 controller i find the analog stick placement painful after awhille as it feels like an unnatural place.

Actually FPS and racers as far as the 360 controller goes. I hate playing racing games with the PS3 controller and its crappy triggers. Glad at least GT5 uses the x button to accelerate. And yeah the 360 controller does have a crappy dpad.

You have no idea how many times I've ended up "shooting" someone with a stupid smoke grenade in Gears because of that dam dpad.

Nothing quite as embarissing as sneaking up to an ememy and point blank...waving a grenade in front of them....

Xbox360 sucks because no one really liked Bill Gates before the Xbox came out. Once they released the Xbox and started charging people to play online, everyone was like "LOLZ OMGZ THIS IZ THE BEST SYSTEMZ EVAZ IN DA WORLZ AND i LOVE MY BILL GATES" - Then I'm sitting in the background listening to all this nonsense going o.O while shaking my head in disbelief that a guy that was so unpopular turned popular in a matter of a week :X

Racers and shooters it is then. The acceleration using the RT is actually decent.

Now if they didn't source everything else about the controller from an 8-year old's toybox then it'd be great!

The Xbox 360 is the best controller I have ever used in my 35 years of gaming. Love the shit out of it. It's a work horse, and has the perfect layout, and is of great quality. Expensive though.
