Thing is, we had a page of people who cant read, we all said its a better experience on PC "EXCEPT" when it comes to multiplayer on the couch drop in/drop out "4 player + online players."
So no, if he feels he has to clarifdy the situaiton its not due to sensitivity, its due to the inane banter we end up in replies.

That would only be factual if 360 gamers didn't also play 3rd party games. The majority of games that come out during any consoles lifecycle including PS3 are 3rd party titles anyway. Besides that the remainder of 2012 is going to be pretty quiet on the PS3 as far as first party goes. No big exclusives until 2013. Meanwhile MS has two for 2012 and another for 2013.

That is not a pretty prototype.

Regarding the picture, it's largely true.
I was looking into a 360 last season, but games that aren't already on Steam I'm not really interested in (Gears, Halo etc). Forza is probably the only thing that interests me right now. And I can't justify buying a console for a racing game considering racing games aren't my most favourite of games.
Hopefully MS has some good exclusives at least for the next XBox to make people think twice, and to push competition.

So like the topic says, it doesn't even look good anymore..
This is what happens when a corporation tells you to work two jobs to buy their overpriced console.

I like the look of the 360S a lot, the PS3 slim ain't bad in its own right but this new super dooper slim is one ugly mofo. (imo)
I read there may be a 16GB SKU? With a fair share of 3rd party titles on the PS3 requiring mandatory installs isn't this going to work negatively against them if true?

I have a feeling that the 16gb was a typo for 160gb. I guess time will tell if it was or not, and if this pic is the final model or not. In any event when my phat dies I'm probably gonna hunt down another phat.

Honestly, if you care what a console looks like over what it does, then that's pathetic. As long as the system doesn't blow the fuck up from overheating and isn't overly loud (as well as playing the games you want with a decent HDD), then it's all good.

I think it depends on what Sony may have for launch of the PS4.

Not gonna bother reading all this BUT... How is built in rechargable batteries bad? Im yet to see a controller where the built in battery dies before the controller itself dies if at all and me and my mates have all had PS3's for some time now. I would not play as much if i had to pay for batteries
"Everything that has ever happened has been leading up to this very moment"
"What happened to bros before hoes?" "Well, this one isn't a hoe, so she's first."

Me so horny!
Appropriate, but completely misleading, lol.
Yup..the console appearance doesn't make the games any better or worse.
I see everyone commenting on how the new 360 looks like an Alienware PC.The new 360 looks a lot like a printer
Maybe they are looking for an entry level model like the 4gb 360. People that just want Blu-ray, or just want to put some PSN games on it, and can upgrade at anytime down the road. Maybe they are trying to be more competitive and sell more.
I have already replaced my controller a couple years ago because the battery would no longer hold a charge long enough. That is a $55 expense. The removable batteries that I get for my 360 last just as long if not longer, and it only costs me $10 for a new one. Controllers are still rock solid (well, both my PS3 and 360 controllers have NEVER had issues hardware wise).

Exactly. Judging a console from a purely cosmetic point of view is extremely petty. That's like saying a book isn't worth reading because the cover isn't colourful. What matters is what lies beneath the exterior and, as proven, the PS3 is an extremely powerful machine capable of producing some truly amazing results and we're nowhere near the end of it's life cycle. We're going to see some amazing work over the next couple of years.
As for the system blowing up from overheating, well, that's more the fault of the end user than the console itself. All electrical equipment run the risk of overheating if not stored in an open, well-ventilated place. All next-gen consoles, including Wii, suffer from this and it's not something the manufacturer can help.

My personal opinions are not endorsed by PSU. But they should be.
