Hmm..Four years after its release, Metal Gear Solid 4 will be updated to include Trophies. Odd timing don't you think?
Next month marks the 25th Anniversary of the tactical espionage action series and according to reports its creator, Hideo Kojima, is expected to make an announcement at an event on August 30. The announcement is supposedly related to his "vision of connecting people", which means it'll have something to do with Transfarring.
But what exactly?
For those not familiar with Kojima's hokey new concept here's a quick breakdown: Transfarring allows players to move save games between multiple devices seamlessly, allowing them to start a game on one device and continue playing it on another.
So far only Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on PS3 and PS Vita support the feature, but it could be that Konami is planning on including the feature in a PS Vita re-release of Metal Gear Solid 4.
At the Vita reveal in Japan last year Kojima showed off MGS4 running on Sony's new handheld, so we know it's possible. Could Kojima go one further next month and announce that the game is actually coming to Vita? We've got our fingers crossed.

How on earth would MGS4 fit on a Vita cartridge? It would have to be completely redone with much lower res graphics. I honestly do not think this could happen.
MGS4 is a 30gb game.

You all realize that there are 32 GB (even 64 GB) microSD cards available right? ... which is pretty much whats inside a PSV game.
Sony / Konami probably get them for the same price as every other physical Vita game at the production, so in theory this game is absolutely doable on the Vita (at least on the storage side

Well because 20 GB should be enough for every PSV game
Just like (maximum) 50 GB should be enough for every PS3 game.
IF they do MGS 4 for PSV, they'll strip it down to fit on there nicely, you have to resize textures, and sound will be mostl ikely compressed on the PSV version, which should already do most of the job.

The vita game cartridges only hold up to 4gb. I am sure it will change later on but I do not see it going from 4gb up to 32gb without a significant change in the price of the game.

Aren't the cuscenes in-game rendered? Afaik, they are not videos, MGS never had videos as cutscenes.

Am I the only one cracking up thinking about hour and a half long cutscenes "on-the-go"?

I would literally LMAO if this happening consderng the game was apparently "too big" to play on the 360.

Trophy-licious!
