Playstation 3 - I'm always getting connection error when i try to connect my internet

Just bought my playstation 3 two days ago i have been trying for hours to connect it. First it wouldn't read my ip it was saying Ip connection time out i fixed that error than it was a dns error now its changed to error 80710723

i'm using ipad 3g interent & sharing that to my macbook than was sharing that through an enthernet cable & i started getting IP address connection timed out, eventually i fixed the error & than it starting saying another error this is a dns error 80710102 so than i thought i might try share from my laptop through wifi & it started with this error 80710723 i've looked all over the internet but still no luck so hopefully someone can please help me )

ok here is the stupid idea in this.

1. if you share your 3g your ps3 will eat your data plan like a can of fruit 500.00 data plan anyone

2. sharing doesn't work sorry get off your but and get a real internet connection

Try to use the regular Internet instead of 3G sharing. I'm willing to bet that's your problem. I doubt you can even get enough bandwidth from 3G to do anything of value on the PS3.

You're going to need to open the ports properly. TCP port: 80, 443, 5223 and UDP port: 3478, 3479, 3658.
