If youre a single player gamer who likes to dabble in online now and then, then PSN is ideal. Especially if you have PS+ with all the free games.

1/ free on-line multiplayer is all well and good, but i want to chat to anyone on my friends list, no matter what game we are playing.

Not sure if everyone knows, but there are also amazing discounts on Xbox Live for GOLD members only. Some games I have got 75% off. There are some free games too (but not many), none of which are of the retail disc based size. However, you get to keep them even if you don't have your paid subscription.

I vote Nintendo Network just because it's a choice lol. But when it comes down to it, I'd choose either that or PSN. I'm not huge online gamer. So the "bare bones minimum" that PSN offers for free is good enough for me.

I prefer PSN because it doesn't fill my dashboard with ads to shove down my throat, nor do I hear an obnoxious "PING" noise every time someone on my friends list shows up.

The problem with XBL is that it doesn't leave me the fuck alone.

Lol. At least for me, the same reasoning can be applied to Nintendo that I used for PSN. I don't game online all that much. So cross game chat and whatever the hell else that Xbox offers is of no use to me. If I have an itch to play online, then I'll do it. That's pretty much all I need lol. Of course, Brawl was a mess, so I guess well have to wait and see if they can get it right lol. But MK7 seems to be doing well, so maybe they can

If you want to be left alone then why even have your console hooked up online or even have a friend list for that matter? Thats like me saying PSN wont leave me alone because I have to keep seeing people on my friend list both logging on AND logging off. OMG PSN just wont leave me alone! LMAO. And like cuguy said just turn off your notifications. Problem solved.
