A Question to the Community

A part time programmer over multiple sites is pathetic and if they cared, shit would be fixed. This place will always have broken features, and the community will suffer. It has been like this for years and will never change. It is a sad reality as there are so many great members here, but this community is under appreciated by the management because of one thing, money. The forum is NOT the money maker of this site, that is what the main page is for. I must admit in the past several years there have been major improvements to the front end of the site, but the forum is always lagging behind.

It wasn't long ago we were told about an RPG style game for the forum, and what happened? NOTHING, same as always. It is becoming more and more difficult for me to come here on a daily basis when there are so many better places for me to spend my time posting/reviewing about all things gaming related.

Also current members are leaving, maybe not in droves. But they are leaving and that needs to strike a big blow to the staff

This is another reason why I gave up my Admin role here. Basically an Admin is nothing more than a "red-Mod", and doesn't have a huge list of things they are capable of doing over a Mod. I became irritated and tired of always having my requests shot down, or never getting responses. It then became my responsibility to always break the news to the community, and I was tired of running out of excuses, and sob stories as to why nothing was being dealt with, or why things would NEVER move forward.

It became a constant battle of broken promises, delays, and fixes that would ultimately never come. I see nothing has changed, and sadly for a brief moment the other month I truly thought things were going to get better, but I see the trend continues.

They are even lazy for money, I requested a PaySafe payment option and they said it was impossible to add it. I am really disappointed. If they would have added that option I would be a subscriber a long time ago.

Yeah the things you get arent really that worth it, but I want a username title.

I don't blame anyone if they want to leave. If the 50-some active members who continue to browse the site suddenly left, do you think Bishop and Anto would drop what they're doing elsewhere and address the technical issues?

Two-thirds of the newly-registered members are spambots. The front page barely gets any comments unless the article is pushing a controversial opinion. And even then it dies down the minute a spambot starts posting a comment which the mods don't have access to deleting.

PSU doesn't have this large and robust, active community going into the next generation of video games. Maybe more people will sign up if we continue to keep quiet and pretend everything is alright but it's only a matter of time until they come across the same problems and voice them and then leave because we're playing the waiting game like it's going out of style.

They need to get their fingers out and fix it... I do not want to be a person that complains, but fix the forum and we will only point out minor flaws

Here are my honest thoughts.

1. Enough of the "this is why I left" bullshit.

2. I do not spend 24hrs a day on this forum. I come on here, I check out some threads, help whoever I can, then it is off to my real life. Some of these complaints are like you guys live on this damn forum. This is just a forum guys!

3. The entire staff inside and out already know what needs to be done. If any of us could make the changes, well they would be made already.

4. This is just a damn forum guys!

5. We are all a little upset by how long it is taking to make the required changes. God knows the staff desperately needs the forum tree back!!

6. It is Friday night, instead of crying about the forum AGAIN! Go crack open a beer and chill the hell out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can stop complaining and wish all was working...

But again the staff are reading this thread right now and understanding the descent in the feelings of us members and need to actually work with us

That thread was made to receive the level of interest in the game, in order to better convince the higher-ups. They still shot it down.

mate you understand the descent on the forum... You understand the anger right and the down right out of order the way things are going

i respect your's and other staff's jobs are really hard in what you do and i understand that

i also understand the change this forum has went through over the 3 years i have been and i would never leave the forum, since am a loyal member

but their has to be a point were the forum is top importance, since its the members that enjoy the time being here and doing what you made the forum what it is and that is gaming.

we get the budget and how it's a pain to balance all that out... But it should not have took so long and still longer to fix the problems at hand...

All we ask is to fix the navigation, the sp disappearing the other issues we are having. If the focus was on this. Then the complaining would be of the little things and not the things that have you saying

" Why did we every make a damn site/forum " and " Why Bother "

please take this on board and understand we love it here and it's an awsome forum/site

all we ask is just for more help with the issues at hand
