Why do Microsoft exclusives sell better than Sony exclusives..

Are you referring to those indie games in which like 90% of them are either trash or copies of other games?. There are some nice ones in there but come on, you can't seriously recommend someone going through that pile in hopes to find something good?.

I am referring to Retail+XBLA+Indie. While you may not find many of the games appealing, many to. Everyone has a different opinion on what game is good for them. Either way, I was pointing out that the 360 has by far more exclusives, AND variety. It also has more affordable games for those with a tight income.

Of course I don't think every Indie game is great (Farting game? lol), but tons of them are. But I don't even get that option on my PS3 or Wii.

MS has somewhat not paid that huge attention to exclusives the past few years. But with that said, it has been a fantastic generation and this exclusive drought somewhat gives me the opportunity to go back and get those games (multiplatform and exclusive) that i missed out on earlier and the ability for me to play them at a lower price.

Too many times people complain about games yet when they are there in surplus they dont get to play them all either not having the budget, or not having enough time to play.

Well, you can sort by user rating in the marketplace, and on Xbox.com. You can also sort by best selling. Both would give people an idea of what is the best to choose from out of 2500 of them listed.

Truth is, of all the games released every year, only a small percentage are published by MS or Sony.
People used to say Xbox has all the games, when it has such exlcuisves and Bioshock, Mass Effect etc.

But what they have done is cull away the titles that didnt work, and kept the ones that did, such as Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable.

Those 4 titles currently comprise of 3 games a peice on the Xbox 360, plus the spin off Halo Wars.

Conversely, Sony have had Resistance, Motorstorm, and Uncharted with 3 games a peice, and then multiple sequal games like infamous, Ratchet and Clank, and Killzone.

They are as bad as each other when it comes to sequals.

I think they're fairly comparable - with the quality edge I'd give to Sony (in which no doubt you and probably Soldier would dispute - I bet my house on it ).

Not that I'm saying that there is a gap. My point simply was; had the shoe been on the other foot, I have as much confidence in certain MS fans to be spinning that those 8 (or however many) games are a substantial difference; so hard that Shane Warne and Murali themselves will be proud of the job well done /cricket reference.

I just find it funny.

We should get a full list of all new IP games for both Microsoft and Sony, published by anyone. That would be a nice list to compare. Not including Kinect, camera, or PS Move only games.

Not really, not when you consider the cost of localising a Japanese made games to the rest of the world. There was still a significant amount of money it took to publish these games outside of Japan. Smething that Sony did not do, or could not do (we have no idea on the publishing deals).
You cant count them as sony IP or even related to Sony.

I am thinking I am missing White Knight Chroniclse of that list however.....
