So, since I'm still kinda new, I am wondering what reputation is, and how it is given/received.

usually the button sits by the like and dislike buttons and is given by members.

however, the button is broke atm.

Its not broken, its just not available to us as of right now. Pretty sure it had to do with updates to the site that made the rep button disappear.

Rep is how well your known you get a point if you been here for 50 days. If you recieve i think 400-500 rep points by someone,say i give you rep i have 14 you get half of what my rep is 7 see the green bar thing under were it says newbie it goes up when you reach a certain point. Last way to get rep is every 600 post. Help this help out your understanding Z.

Adding to this I just noticed I have 2 Reputation sections in my use CP.

1 says my last rep given form a few weeks to a month ago or so the other sections shows rep given to me form about 2 years ago.

Sure it is, if you try and authenticate your numbers being lower than other people as being better than them. lol Having more rep means you have more quality... period. Means someone contributes to the site more often, and has more rep corresponding with that. It was all a joke to begin with, but trying to attribute your lower numbers to being better... well, it's not.

Alternatively, I think Tribbles was hackin' on me for a laugh. (Young Guns) He does it well at times.
