Dont think they did but they did have a ps2 with a built in hdd and dvd burner. Every ps2 came with yabasics also

I just get the impression that you miss the old days when there was tons of JRPGs and you resent MS for westernizing a formerly Japanese console world. At least thats what I get from alot of your posts. Anyway you prefer Japanese developed games and I prefer western developed games. No big deal. It just so happens that the console market this gen shares my preference (except Japan) western developed games and not yours Japanese developed games and you dont like it.

lol I like the bloke and misses analogy but you did blame the 360 earlier in this thread which is the same as blaming MS. And no, theres nothing wrong with me at all. I dont like the whole MP map pack DLC thing either nor do I like having to purchase an online pass if I rent a game or want to buy one used if I want to play multiplayer. But be that as it may I do still prefer western developed games over Japanese developed games.

He also forgot that he did blame the bloke and not the misses earlier in this thread which I'll point out in a minute. But yeah there were some real turds at the beginning of this generation.

PS3 was great, much better then 360. But I am looking forward for PS4, from what I've heard it will be amazing much more then PS3. Well that is pretty obvious every next gen needs to be better then the previous.

Kinda catch 22 there, you see the PS2 saw many ports that was inferior to the Dreamcast originals, textures & AA was inferior on PS2 and in some cases AA was completely missing from the PS2 versions, and this was down to the Vram the Dreamcast had, developers was used to the DC architecture Some even said PS2 couldn't do AA and was less powerful, dispite Sony's claims and thw inclusion of a DVD format thou in reality the PS2 was much more powerful system it wasn't until the Dreamcast died off and all games was built for PS2 that we saw the PS2's potential This gen is very much the same, developers are use to the 360's architecture and built games to suit that, the only difference is the 369 didn't die off and developers didn't have a focus of one console 360 and PS3 is more like PS2 and Xbox Xbox was a powerful machine and you could see that in some of its games but that generation was built around a template, a PS2 template Just like PC's are far more capable of the games they produce they are tied to a template built round current gen consoles And this gen that template is 360 if you think that your assassins creed and all other games would be the same as they are if PS3 was the only console on the market ya delusional Is the PS3 more powerful then 360? Yes blatantly so, same way the Xbox was more powerful then PS2 Did we actually see how powerful the Xbox was? No Was it capable of more? As for games got dumbed down for the 360. Thats laughable TGO, really really is.

Developers universally agree that porting from the PS3 to the 360 is only way it works.
To quote one "if you can get it wokring on the PS3, then it will work on the 360"

Short edition: The PSP is the best simply because of the games on it, they're so great and its been one of the best experiences I had with four player but it was sadly late in its life and was consumed by Piracy.. So no MHP3rd in English.

Playstation 1 is the first playstation and it and loads of games on it..and many where great and nostalgic. Today some are rather ugly.
Playstation 2 was ok but the number of games was insane and I played Armoured Core.....omg and stuff from Capcom like Devil may Cry. though today its not very nice on big tvs. Old games that hit 90 on metacritic which wasn't known back then (thank fook) was cheap used. PSX... oh erm, Japan didn't like it. Famous for having XMB first.
Playstation Portable was the first evar mobile with good graphics and it was rubbish because of lack of awareness of good games for it and it was rather lacklustre from the start but later in life it had loads of good games like Monster Hunter, Guilty Gear and Capcom classics and it became the greatest Playstation ever.
Playstation 3 is like the other playstations and is the final co... *sniped* but a bit odd since it removed slots and Memory Cards so backwards compatiblity PS2 was bit painful...and evern more that it was removed. It had no games but then Sony realized they released a new console so they made new games and made it cheaper because it has new games. Oh and a new store since they realized the web-page was too old. The best thing classics and PSN games, though SCEE was really bad with that but it was nice to some classics coming to the store and the introduction of PS+. Easily much bigger differences from PS1 and 2 but simply the stores combines a bit of the best of previous generations and adds non playstations like Neo-geo... though Over-priceo. Even on Wii which was ridiculous.

Today... is rather bloody, now we all know about the idea of a 10 year life span or something but now there's tougher competitain from the superphone industry and Steam even Game and Gamestop partly closing down was damaging so it didn't help the PS3 games much now because stuff like Armoured Core, Gundam doesn't sell well enough (because its a recession too) for some reason Used games are much dearer if they're non-stickered 3 for 2 which are all a big meh... That generation also saw too many shooters, too many greed and too many stupid dlc plus company arrogance. This gen will be missed, but the PS3? not much I'd still keep it but most of my games are digital now so I'm not sure if I'd just simply replace it with a PS4 like I did with the PS2. I'd eventully buy another PS2 anyway because of the removal of BWC so that kinda sucked, hopefully they same doesn't happen with PS4 regarding discs.

Oh and Playstation Vita...better than PSP however XMB is bit missed, and Livearea needs updated to stop dis-sorting download games after swapping memory sticks. Not the best but it could be once Capcom realize they can make Monster Hunter on it and make it online.... Huge issue, and the same gos for 3DS; its better being Japanese because they get more games that are more appealing, Americans, Eucians simply don't take it seriously much but when they do its brillaint just liek what Fifa and Rayman can do though the latter has crap menus as usual and weak formation settings.....AGAIN. (I want PES)

So yeah personally I think each PS kinda improves on the last and Sony's studios has been great, even the exclusives they'd get have been kind of unique like with LBP, Journey, Flower etc etc etc and with Gaikai who wonders what will happen next could be either exciting or dull. Time will tell. If they get everything right with PS4... and it has no sillyness like a high price tag or lousy last gen playback then great,, it'll be hard to resist day one.

I hope I never need to miss the system. Just bought a second ps3 and plan on the same for 1 and 2. Have a feeling ill be playing some of these games my entire life. That's how much enjoyment they've given me.
