need more platformers. i think we need Mystical Ninja type stuff back with its goofy sense of humor. games these days all want realism so it's getting really boring and depressing. lighten up. and every fucking JRPG is the same, underage whiney person against an evil corporation or government (well FF anyways)

This is what I understand, but my English is not good so correct me if interpretation is wrong.

Also, I am really sad to see Japanese games become westernized. I want our games to have unique Japanese characteristic. I think it is okay if they stay "generic" from the eyes of the western people but remain close to the hearts of the Japanese people.
But I think idea of Blacksite is good. Maybe Beyond Two Souls achieves this? Just my idea. Thank you.
I should've said to an extent. RPG's do seem to have similar plotlines and cliche characters, but not all games. I agree with you that it's sad the way Japanese games are moving. They have always had a certain charm.
Thanks to THUGGEDOUT for the sig, The Black Wolf for the av.

I actually wouldn't mind more games using UFO's and Aliens, however, I'd prefer it to be done in the psychological styled horror. Everytime I hear "War like Aliens", I envision a generic pop-a-mole FPS/TPS with a 4 hour story mode and a tacked on MP mode.

Well, if we humans managed to get to another planet, and there were life forms there. just because we made it to their planet doesn't necessarily mean that humans are more intelligent. It could mean some idiots got a good understanding of spacecraft manufacturing and quantum physics. Anyone get what I mean? LOL!
