Record of Agarest War any good?

Could of sworn I posted this topic hours ago but it seems I didnt, or it was deleted for whatever reason.

is Record of Agarest War any good? Been semi-interested in it for awhile, ever since I played and enjoyed Jeanne D'arc and Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment on PSN. I see its been marked down to $19.99, is the game worth it or should I pray for an eventual sale on it?

I've been contemplating the same thing. It doesn't look as appealing with the videos and screenshots I've seen but it never hurts to try it out.

I have only played Record of Agarest War Zero (prquel) came out last year. It was fun but very very tough. It is your standard SRPG
so when it is your turn you get to move so many spaces on the board and then have the chance to attack someone. There are combo moves when players are in the right spots next to each other. Simple animations outside of battle to move along the story. Zero was fun for a while but then the enemy difficulty just shot way up and no real way to level grind in-order to beat them. I never did finish the game but wanted too, one thing that was crazy was most of my battles were about 45 mins or longer per battle.
I have heard Agarest 2 should be more accessable to players than previous versions but I have yet to try it out. Might pick it up at a discount price. Weapon crafting, and enhancement, lots of combos to find between players, and then there is the whole choose your destiny via which NPC you take as your wife.
Definitely be a fan of anime
Hope this helps explain it a bit more.

I've been playing it for the last few days now. The battle system resembles a lot of Idea Factory's previous games, but is also very complicated. I downloaded it off PSN so don't have the luxury of a manual to read, so and I am only just starting to get to grips with it now. Otherwise the story is so far not too bad, and there are a few nice moments of character interaction (at least I enjoyed them).

if u like tactics rpg i think u may like it.
but the game is very difficult, and you should bought dlc from psn to make things easier.
i already beat agarest zero & 1 with dlc (still so #$%* difficult).
if u want the game just buy agarest zero because u can play agarest 1 inside agarest zero after you beat the game
