Rumor: Final Fantasy XV to be Open World

You know what guys? I have a hunch: neither vXIII has been cancelled, nor XV has been in development for 4 years. vXIII IS XV now. Maybe a thing here and there has been changed in lore, plot or characters, but the whole open world thing makes me thing of the world map approach seen in the vXIII video shown a year and a half ago.

Yeah, but considering Hiroyuki Ito is said to be working on an unannounced, large-scale game for Square Enix (and I'm really hoping the rumor in the OP is true about the game details), what else would it be, other than Final Fantasy XV?

My prediction is Final Fantasy XIII-3 for 2013 and Versus or XV for 2014/15.

I thought about that too, but maybe hes co-directing with Nomura to put the game out faster? I'd like to know though. Hell, but if we get both vXIII and XV, one after the other, color me a happy fanboy

I have XIV too and I've yet to subscribe, but I will for 3 months this summer just to get a 9.99 price after the 2.0 patch.

Done with Square and FF. They've lost vision as a developer and as a company this generation. Will take my business elsewhere.

If you haven't subscribed already, you'll be ineligible for Legacy. I think the final day to start was June 30th.

Has SE actually said anything about XV, or is this ALL just rumors? And even if they did announce it and show a trailer, that's hardly any guarantee that a game will ever be released.

The FFXII-type battle system sounds good to me, as does the open world stuff of course. But I'm certainly not getting my hopes up after some of the stuff SE has done recently.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait a minute guys, apparently this was just a rumor too jus like the Kotaku thing with Versus XIII. Only this time it seems to have been started by a GameFaqs user by the name of "Galvanazation"

I think the game details might be wrong but Hiroyuki Ito is said to be working on an unannounced, large-scale game, which is exciting news nonetheless. Also, Agni's Philosophy is a tech demo. It's the kind of visual fidelity the company hopes to achieve with next-gen consoles.
