I'd buy all PSone classics in the US market if I were you. There's no 27% slowdown because of NTSC->PAL conversion and no black borders on top/bottom because of the difference in vertical resolution which haunt all Square games (and a lot of other games too).

It ain't available on the PSN for sure man (European anyway) but yeah i know been hearing about this game for years but never played it lol

How do you rate it compared to FF VI? Which i know is your favourite FF

Yes. Although both games are great, I enjoyed the sequel the most.

I thought it had a better story, music, and the visuals were gorgeous.

Most of the complaints I've seen on the game were directed at the battles being more challenging and that you only level up after a boss fight. So it wasn't a true sequel but a great game nonetheless.

IMO Chrono Trigger is better. It's funnier, quirkier, has better characters and more endings (7 vs 3 different endings I think).

It wasn't meant to be a review. It was a "I can't recommend or not because I never completed it" The "I don't know what happened" was referring to I don't know why I never finished it. lol

I see what you mean. I bought Chrono Trigger this morning and first thing that hit me was the size of the Squaresoft logo on my 42 " TV lol

I put another 2 hours in FF8 and spent all time basically on just farming AP by using the Card ability on all enemies in the Training Area in Balamb. This way I got my hands on enough Grat cards to card mod them the mid-level magic and I'm already in a position where I basically don't have to rely on drawing to get magic but simply card enemies and card mod the hell out of it.
This also has the nice side effect that I won't level-up any further and as enemies always have the same level as you, this actually benefits your progression of the game.

Mind you I still didn't go for my first SeeD mission to Dollet, this is my next step

So when you next play are you going to do the Seed Exam or do a bit more grinding up?
