Haven't played too much yesterday. Did the train mission with the Owls and just saw the SeeD contract saying that the Owls own my ass now.
Drew some nice magic from the fake president though.

I want 8 done before borderlands 2 arrives so hehe plus I want to spend time thinking of stuff for Eurogamer Expo.

I actually enjoy them. He really seems to enjoy his little adventures, which makes him a bit similar to Zidane in FF IX. A good contrast to Squall and his brooding and fuck everyone else attitude.

Squalls only redeeming quality is that he in fact warm up a little towards the end. What was Squaresoft thinking when they developed such a non-likeable character?

You see I actually like Squall lol I think the fact that us, the gamer can see the difference between what he says (very little) and what he thinks are different.

By the way, I stepped aways from the main quest for now. I finished the Timber / Forest Owls quest and the story would take me to Galbadia Garden right now. But I'm in Dollet and trying to get the Open / Diff card rules to spread.

I am just outside Karnak after the fire crystal explodes. Now does anyone know if there are any optional summons before I get to the 2nd world?

Nah been busy, All my GFs are maxed though, need doom train and tonberry king along with odin though.

There's this dude in the Dollet pub who you can win random stuff from if you beat him in triple triads. But the occult fan #2 has like a drop rate of 3% or so, so this will take some time now.

I have never done the card queen quest, as much as i like triple triad. Would you say the rewards are worth the effort?

There're two things I'm doing simultaneously. Spreading the rules that I want helps me to actually win the card games. Then simply use a card guide to determine which magic you want to farm, find the matching enemy and then card mod them. Brats drawing magic by far. And using the refine abilities you can get better magic very early on.
And yes, that's worth it.

The card queen quest is useful because you can manipulate the card queen on where she goes next. You need her to get access to rare cards and also for changing card rules if you cannot get the rule you want by simply playing and mixing rules from different towns.

In the end it's worth it I think but it's also very time consuming. But then again we're probably not here to speed run the game

It's far easier and can get you better magic.

I think theres Ifrit after you flee the castle he's in the ancient library.
