Been busy with other commitments and playing Sleeping Dogs but I've managed to get some FFVII time in my schedule. I'm going to copy my brother's achievement and get Meteorain and Finishing touch before starting the second reactor. I already have the second set of Limit Breaks for Cloud!, now I'm aiming for Meteorain!.

Not much. Been playing in small bursts here and there. I'm still at Balamb after the missile base. But I last saved at the basement level right before you fight those two oil creatures

I've started replaying IX on my Vita and damn! My favorite FF ever. So, so much to like. I'm right after leaving Lindblum for the very last time. Heading to Gizamaluke's to kick his ass after more than 10 years. Love leveling my skills and grinding to learn them. Feels very rewarding.

What is it about IX that makes it your fave FF?

I only ask as, in my opinion and I know I am in the minority, I thought it was a little bit of a disappointment after VII and VIII

Midevil environmental feeling. It was utterly cute too and the system was still engaging. Kuja is up there with the rest of antagonists.

Well, everything actually! The story was a back-to-roots tale that I felt had a lot of magic in it. It touches very sensitive matters such as war, kidnappings, invasions, the end of the world and yet it never loses that charm. VII and VIII were much more serious and modern. Characters are all very likeable too, from grumpy ol' Steiner to grim, silent Amarant. It's a really brilliant game. Did you get the chance to play through it?

FFVII was my RPG introduction and I've been a loyal FF fan ever since, even if quality has noticeably dropped. I love it to bits too and I see why some call it the best game ever. FFVIII though, is the one I'm the most attached to since it's the game I played most in my childhood, so that's why I think it's the most important FF to me.

VII was my first FF, so IX going back to its roots was a shock to me and not necessarily a good one. I liked the modern settings of VII and VIII better. And As for the characters, again I just couldn't take to Zidane (or the rest of the crew for that matter, except little Vivi lol) like I did Cloud and Squall.

I did complete the game but have never went back to it since. I didn't dislike it but just didn't love it like I do VII and VIII. But I do intend to go back and play it so maybe now that I am 10 years older I might just appreciate it more lol

When you get off the tram as you enter the golden saucer, near the save point, randomly, very rarely an npc spawns there selling you GP

Quick update on FFV, done Moore Forest and defeated the four elementals. But

galuf died, totally took me by surprise!

so now it is on to Ex-Deaths castle for revenge and I think it will be world 3

Yeah man, haven't played that much after so haven't really got an opinion yet. But yeah i was soo shocked! Although in hindsight the signs where there, I really wasn't expecting it
