Whelp, reached Zanarkand. Haven't done anything yet, so nothing major has been revealed outside of Tidus learning a thing or two on a boat. I can tell I'm getting pretty close to the end of the main story, especially when I look at the spheres and have learned practically the highest tier moves for each character's sphere.

In case it gets tough, you can teleport the movements of the sphere grid from different areas. The next battles are going to be good, and the sidequests is right around the corner.

So far hasn't been too rough. I would say I'm not overleveled, probably just right for this section. Some of the boss fights have been a good enough challenge, which I like. Haven't been steam rolling bosses or anything.

Yeah, FFX has a difficulty that is just right IMO. The standard encounters aren't very tough, but if you don't use the right mixing and matching of characters, then you could very well die. Plus, the boss fights in the second half of the game can be quite challenging.

I remember fighting Evrae dozens of times my first playthrough, but that's because I didn't realize there were monsters on the airship that allowed you to do some grinding. lol

Wow...what are the odds. I went through the samething. I had to rely on Wakka for the majority of the battle and Lulu wasn't even built so much through the grid.

Yeah, my brother and I spent an entire day drinking cokes and fighting Evrae over and over. Good times.

It also helped that Rin gives you 99 'Underdog Secrets' on subsequent playthroughs, which can be used for Rikku's overdrive to cause roughly 18,000 damage. He gives you those if you completed the Al Bhed language on the previous playthrough and loaded it at the beginning of the game at Baaj temple.

Yeah Seymour in his 2nd and third encounter gave me a bit of trouble. Both times I wasn't properly watching for certain effects. Evrae though, no issues. And wow, I had no clue there were monsters on the ship!

Yeah, I think it seems like a bit of an exaggeration. No doubt it will probably look really good. Sigh...I wish my playthrough would've been with the HD version. I just couldn't have waited until June ...if it really will release that month.

Same here! I would love to play X again. Of course, it would have to be after VIII, IX, and VI. Lol

But I should be starting VIII up again in the next week or so. Been watching Doctor Who in my free time, but I'm almost done with the series, so I should dive back into VIII again. I had stopped when I first heading to (damn! I completely forgot the cities name lol. I think it's Esthar?) I know don't have the Ragnarok yet, but after you go see Cid and Edea at the lighthouse.

Oh definitely. I was/will be trying my hand without a guide, besides the occasional tip from Chille, and other fellow PSU peeps lol But I think I'm doing pretty good so far

I haven't completely stopped. This is the only site that IE hinders its cool features. It used to work before, don't know why its doing this now and its been months already.

We would have seen that with the PS Vita footage, if that were the case.

Also, I'm pretty sure Square said it would be an HD remaster, not a remake, so where is that rumor coming from?
