I always play the SNES/PS1 versions personally, the music annoys me on GBA. They should just put them all on PSP like FF4CC and FF1/2, SE missed out on a ton of money from such small/cheap projects.

So after I complete V, i am playing VI and then IX

A lot of tracks sound similar from Nobuo, probably why they brought in different composers for different series to change things a bit.

I think we should have a 'Question of the Day' for this thread. For example, which Final Fantasy protagonist had the most compelling story?

I'll indulge ya. Either Cloud or Terra for main characters. I really enjoyed Vivi's story arc, one of my favorite FF characters.

For me personally it was Cloud. Loved how we had one perception of who he was for half the game but finally got to piece his story together to get the truth.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with Zack as well. He's my favorite Final Fantasy protagonist actually. The ending to Crisis Core is the only time a video game has made me cry.

Agreed. Cloud was a very likeable main character. He had great development. Sephiroth I hated as a villian. He was a stupid mamas boy who liked to have Cloud chase him around. If he didnt do that one big spoiler then he would have been mediocore in everyone eyes. I say this because the number one answer when I ask people what made him so good is that spoiler.

Technically it was Jenova for most of the game and not Sephiroth.

Are inns not suppose to revive downed allies? My black mage didn't get revived.
I'm talking about FF1.

Yup, you need to go to the other building in the town with the priest that revives fallen allies. Yeah, FF1 is hardcore about everything. Make sure to buy antidotes or any status recovery items.

Also be prepared to die after spending half an hour plus going through a dungeon (unless you use the memo saves which I never did lol).

Mentioned earlier in the thread that the older FF games are way more hardcore than the newer ones.

Realised that playing FF V, where you'd complete a part of the story only to have no idea where to go next!

Lol, it still amazes me you never used memo saves. I clung onto those big time. I might've not grinded as much? IDK. There were many times my party wiped AFTER beating the dungeon boss, trying to leave the dungeon. Memo saves where a good safety net for me
