Best Games Of 2012 Thus Far

I started compiling a collection of what I believe to be the best so far this year. Tell me what you think and offer some suggestions. Cheers!

The only game i can think of is Mass Effect 3. In my opinion this has been one of the worse years of releases but it will get better as a lot of the big franchises are releasing their games later in the year.

If you count DLC games then Rainbow Moon should be considered also

Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us and The Last Guardian shouldn't be on that list, seeing as how they're going to be released next year. No one here has actually played the games. And the layout for that website is awful.

Mass Effect 3. That's it. Actually Mass Effect 3 might be my favorite game this generation tied with MGS4 (especially with the EC). Nothing else has seemed all that interesting to be honest.

Honestly I've never felt so connected to video game characters before except in Metal Gear Solid and Heavy Rain.

Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne 3 were great. A lot of people liked Diablo as well.

MP3 is a good game, but game of the year good? If I were to guess, I would guess that either AC3 or ME3 would get it. Most likely AC3 though.

For me it will have to be Tales of Graces f or Journey. I can't put Mass Effect 3 on that list since it wasn't that great(It was good but not GOTY great). I have yet to play Assassin's Creed 3 and Persona 4 Golden so my decision isn't solid yet.

2012 has been pretty... meh.

My GOTY so far is ME3 (Despite the ending). I did try out Ghost Recon and that was alright.

The only other games released so far i have yet to crack are Dragon's Dogma and Max Payne 3, but the fall looks pretty good with RE6, Halo 4, AC3, R&C collection/FFA, and most importantly TTT2.

The games I have ENJOYED the most - which is the most important thing not how well it sells or production values or hype, imo - this year so far are:

Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning
Lollipop Chainsaw
Gravity Rush
WipEout 2048
Dragons Dogma
Rhythm Thief & The Emperor's Treasure
The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition

Absolutely quality games right there. There are a small few 2012 releases so far I haven't gotten around to playing though

Yep. In fact if ME3 wins any goty awards I'll be confused and disappointed. Obviously our perception and enjoyment of games is largely subjective, but it was a good game and a good series... Just not as absolutely fantastic as the hype and fans surrounding it

this year has been pretty stale for me. so far I would say borderlands 2 but that's because I haven't played borderlands 1 so it's pretty knew to me. some good games but I have seen previous consoles do much better. pretty underwhelming year imo.
