I look forward to seeing General Zod, the actor that is playing him has been good in Boardwalk Empire.

I agree. I thought it was an interesting choice as I've not seen him in anything else. I'm wondering what he's like in Premium Rush, but I'm sure Zod is a completely different character.
He does a good job in Boardwalk, as I saw an interview where he confirmed he was going to be in Superman (just after it was officially announced) and his voice was completely different. He spoke like "dude"!

Mixed about this train of logic. I really don't need all the superheroes going dark and modern. Spider-man is already a bit too obvious changed to this trend. It worked for Batman cause it was natural. Now just becoming a cash-in.
But we'll see, truth be told the teaser trailer was good so far.

I just see things like his super bright colour outfit or his ridiculously niave and goody good boy behaviour is fine in comics but doesn't translate well to film...becomes to cheesy and hoenstly, lame. It doesn't have to extend to Nolan's Batman's extreme or Amazing Spiderman (which besides the costum, I though blew nuts). Essentially they really need a fine balance, don't overhaul and drastically change Supes..give him a bit of grit and meaness lol.

Looks great! The music is totally like Gladiator!
I was hoping for a trailer that would keep me interested, and it has succeeded.
Hoping and assuming that the final film will have the same tone as the trailers, it looks like we're going to get something completely different and never before seen from a Superman film. I'm looking forward to it!

Looks great. I'm actually excited for a Superman movie. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.
It's funny that in this day in age people can steal as long as they have a reason too. Even if that reason is created by the thieves themselves.

Great trailer. I love the tone they're trying to communicate.

Great trailer. It looks very promising from the trailer.

The grim tone that carried the trailer gives me hope.
Why? I haven't seen much Supes stuff, but the one reason why I never like Superman in anything I watch him in (I saw one of the old ones but don't remember which and then saw Superman Returns) is because I can never connect to the character. Supes Entertainment that I've seen seems to get too comfortable with presenting his Mr. Ideal qualities and does not do enough to explore the personal struggles that come with who he is; mainly in growing up as a Freak on Earth and being one man responsible for an entire planet due to his nearly-limitless abilities. There can be some great character study there, but I never seem to get much of it. I'm not exactly wanting something totally cerebral, but I do want more depth to a guy who just happens to be born with (mostly) unstoppable powers and ends up balancing a fairly well-balanced human life with a (mostly) unstoppable superhero role.Last edited by Bio; 12-12-2012 at 04:25.

We'll see if Snyder can follow through with this trailer.
And behind the curtains, I wonder if Henry Cavill has signed on for Justice League when he signed for this movie.

It does look good. I like the darker, more thought-provoking tone.

Didn't think I'd get interested in another superhero movie, let alone Superman's. This is a nice change of pace to Marvel's same-y superhero movies. Snyder handled Watchmen well, I look forward to seeing more.

Superman has been in desperate need of a good revamp for a very long time. Superman Returns was a giant, steaming pile of crap. Lex Luthor needs to stop being the main villain in every single freaking Superman movie. There are a LOT of villains in the Superman universe, so wtf? Doomsday anyone? Seriously... come on.
This movie looks a lot better than Superman Returns... but the villains are regurgitated. Faora is new, though (I think? lol). Meh.
Edit: I'm reading rumors that Doomsday (or Brainiac) may be a secret villain in the new film. o_OLast edited by PeanutButterMunky; 01-01-2013 at 21:11.
