Sadly for me im beyond overhyped, but thankfully I know I'm going to be horribly dusappointed.. but it still looks so good from what we've seen thus far. ><

It's not overhyped for me because my expectations are not that high as other people. I know Nomura wont dissapoint, but at the same time it won't be the best game ever, or even the best ff

It's not hyped much for me either. Given how S-E has handled their games in general for this generation, I'm not in the boat that this game is instantly going to be a good FF or will it redeem the series or whatever.

I doubt anyone really cares about exclusivety anymore. I'm a Final Fantasy fan, not a console fan.

Would be pretty BS after all the 'PS3 exclusive' at the end of the trailers but yeah just bring the game. So long as it doesn't fuck up the gameplay like with FF13.

You're right. It SHOULDN'T matter. Just pointing out a possibility that may have been overlooked. Either way, the game has a lot of hype to live up to, which is Square-Enix's own damn fault for showing content so early.

I highly suspect it's now multi platform. SE aren't going to want to release a game that will have been 6+ years in development on one console. At this point though it's exclusive status is completely irrelevant. I just want to play this game.

On one hand, it would be good if it's exclusive, so we'd know that Nomura & Co. didn't have to worry about porting limitations. But on the other hand, if this game is as good as we hope it will be, it would be beneficial for the future of Final Fantasy if it sells well. And including the 360 fan base would help a lot.

I agree, I will not be happy if it goes multi platform but better released on all consoles than not released at all.

I fear a lot of the mechanics/graphical fidelity will be majorly outdated by the time it arrives though...

Versus is using an upgraded version of Crystal Tools (which FFXIII used), as well as Square's next-gen engine for lighting (the Luminous Engine). So I doubt it.

Besides, current-gen games basically peaked 2 or 3 years ago. Versus will only be outdated if it's released after the PS4 has been released (which wouldn't surprise me).

i can smell what your stepping in,but i am a console fan too. I like to see my preferred brand excel and those who shake paychecks fail. Ever since Microsoft paid for that time release of FFXIII (even though i didnt like it) but definitely happy to see this title not die

You have to admit though of the gameplay they have shown us so far, it does look a bit bland and shitty.

I really want them to just pull out something new to show us how much they have progressed.
