Square Enix Confirms the Existence of Final Fantasy Versus XIII
The rumor, it seems, was wrong! Today, Square Enix head Yoichi Wada confirmed that he just came out of a Final Fantasy Versus XIII meeting.
According to Wada's tweet, "There's someone making a false rumor that Versus was cancelled. Haha...Just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended. If you saw the presentation of the city, it'd knock you off your feet~lol"
Okay, then, let's see it!

Haha Yeah it's a relief. I highly doubted it would be cancelled. I do think, however, that this game will be hitting all consoles. I don't think it'll be a PS3 exclusive anymore.

Over on neogaf, the thread about Wata responding in a twitter that the rumor was false (remember, this was being called a REPORT by IGN) is grounds for banning Kraptaku. Why is it still a debate? How many times does it take to find this "inside source" actually turns out to be some Kraptaku journalist-wannabe with his dick up his ass? Why do I picture this, a Kraptaku "journalist" goes to the local nursing home and "interviews" "gamers" about Square-Enix and they go, "What? Never heard of them", so he goes back to the office and types up his "insider article" with the subject title "Square Enix Looses Recognition Amongst Gamers". (yeah, and looses is spelled that way deliberately).

square enix is still playing their fans like a fool anyway. 6 years of absolutely nothing but one gameplay video whether it's development time, politics within the company etc and it's definitely not coming out this year is just ridiculous.

Speaking for myself, nope. I just really want this game. They still make tonnes of mistakes and shouldnt have announced Versus so early and etc the list goes on. Figured it wouldn't have been cancelled. Shady, unreliable "reports" have a tendency to, you know, not be very accurate
Best part of this though, is that they actually had an internal meeting about the game. That means something's happening with it, at the very least. Now, I'll just wait until TGS to see/hear (with hearing being MUCH more likely) new info about Versus XIII. I've waited 6 years already, any longer won't hurt. I'll get it when I get it.

I think this gen was just a blip for them. They are already showing signs of improving for the next gen. (What with all the work they have already put into their new engine, and being one of the only developers so far to show it off). Originally Posted by DarkVincent07
