Yeah, I was just clarifying what DeviousOne posted.

Just with recent post like some ive seen in this thread i can see why we cant keep new members around. If we want this place to be "lively" we need to make sure we make new people feel welcomed. thats all im saying

And I agree. This would be a good start, in my opinion.

The last part of your post is the key point. New members aren't going to stay in a forum where they basically get bullied by the older members.

I've never bullied/not been nice to new members. In fact, I don't believe I've been long enough here myself to be able to do that. My post was in regard to some new members spamming continuously in nearly every thread in order to "liven" up the place. That's a big turn-off for people looking to join, imo.

Man. I honestly did not mean to cause any trouble. Again apologies. As for the topic..this place never felt dead to me all the years I've been visiting. You forum elders are what draws us in, what made me join. The backbone of this site. Old reliable lol! Hopefully can chalk this up to growing pains..really do think I have plenty to contribute.

There's absolutely no bullying going on here. In fact, it's the opposite. New members don't get warnings/infractions so that they feel "welcome" here and are not "bullied" despite what they do. They are so precious to the management because most of the older members have abandoned the place.

This certainly is one of the reasons. If the interface isn't user-friendly, new people won't connect.

It seems these days to be more about having a million people clicking on psu.com and avoiding the forums.

It's also laughable that it takes months to fix the compatibility issues with the IE (if anyone's working on it at all).

Screw the new members, if it means you are going to treat your veteran member like shit. (like the Battle Royal competition..seriously, all the people who won that thing had like one post and we'll never see them again.)

If you don't get you're shit together soon you'll be losing the backbone of this community.
