Status Of The Forum

It doesn't seem very lively, then again I've been spending time on the android forums and that place is a hornets nest.

Go to the top of the page, Profile and view New Posts..that will show you how active it is. Also, it is just a bit slow this time of day cause people are working in the UK and people are sleeping in America.

You can not expect the same sort of activity in the Summer as you would in the Fall and Winter.

I know, its not quite like the old days but I guess it may return once the next gen is in full-swing but PSU the site isn't what it was years ago considering the news but the forums too have been bit better but still a odd feeling.

All of the regulars are getting older with more things to do,or just not into gaming as much as they used to, and most of the new people that come dont bring anything special lol. Then there's also people like me, I log on to this site and it's forum's everyday but I don't always participate, because most people usually say what i'm thinking before I do. With that being said, without Sony having some truly "big time triple A" exclusives(PlaystationAllstars is debatable depending on who you ask lol) coming this year, this place will probably seem a little dead to some folks until Gamescom and/or Tokyo Game show comes with the goods.

Add in the fact its nearing the end of the console generation, and theres not much news worthy stuff going on. This time next year we'll probably be face first in PS4/Xbox3 news.

that's because usually E3 brings the noise. This year E3 sucked ass because nothing of note was shown. Even TLOU barely generated news here.

Do you care sometimes? You're criticizing others in your post yet... over the past 24hrs, you've not posted a single time in a game discussion thread. You're just as much a part of the "dead problem" as anyone else.

Well, I've tried to stimulate discussions multiple times with the articles lifted from other news sites, alongside zzKurozz and recently, the PSU editors. I don't always share my opinion though but I would expect others to jump in regardless.

One of the more active threads that we have right now is in the Fanboy Throwdown section. I know you don't care one way or another what happens to it but I thought it was worth pointing out. If you think I'm being a jerk with my previous post then you're misinterpreting what I'm saying.

You can do the exact same thing you expect from others. Otherwise, don't criticize them. If you've created the discussion, and expect others to show their side, aren't you just as much at fault for the "dead' nature of the forums because you don't contribute in the thread as well? Again, I don't always share my own opinion - meaning that sometimes I do, although I don't need to because some of the threads receive posts from others regardless. I'm just wondering why a couple popular titles don't receive any replies.

One of the more active threads that we have right now is in the Forum Throwdown section, which is why I brought it up because the people who complained about it before were seemingly above it, not willing to give it a couple weeks before deciding what the administration would do with it.

That section being the most active, or thread wise, is pretty poor in respect to the content the site has... Your first part of the post doesn't make much sense. You're a part of the community just like everyone else. You are just as responsible in that sense to contribute before you criticize others for the same behavior you have. I don't care one way or the other whether you contribute, post, etc., but I think it's of poor taste to criticize others for the same thing. That's all.

PS3 Games usually has about 90 browsing, sometimes going up to 120. PS3 Discussions is usually around 50 to 70. Other thing is there are too many rumors to keep track of and Gamescom is 3 weeks now to bunk or debunk rumors (sounds like the same thing).
