"EMEA is a key market for us and we continue to cultivate the best talent and focus on growing our business, with this role focused on the continued expansion of our Microsoft Studios business in the region," Microsoft said in a statement.

Since it isn't fair to the OP to have his thread closed because some can't hold it in, I am just deleting the posts and letting this thread have a do-over.

It is a benign, simple subject to discuss.

    Let's try again shall we?

    Thank you Vengeful!

    fair enough.

i'm not sure what they hope to achieve with this tbh.

why does moving a studio, or at least their dev focus, help them in the region? i wasn't aware there was a localisation of popularity with games production? surely that's down to marketing?

i'd put this down to just damage control. they aren't reducing resources, just reallocating them.
Got YLOD? In the UK? I'll buy it off you.

Well a closer read says 1st party free to play AND online casual experiences. It says nothing about casual games only.

Second, it says SPECULATES. Meaning, no one knows for sure yet what they will be making.

Fun to jump to conclusions and make an effort to derail again isn't it? It's uber annoying to be honest.
