So the guy at Rutgers who got bullied for being gay and committed suicide, there's not excuse and he should have changed his sexual orientation?
What about the older lady on the bus. People donated money for her vacation. She needs to change something? She could have avoided it by changing something?
It's shocking some people want to blame the victim, but not the bully.
By the way, I am handicapped. I am disabled having PTSS just adds to it.

well im pretty sure people are born gay but if you're being bullied cos you're gay then you could
1. move school
2. tell principal, not a teacher, they dont do shit
3. tell you're parents
4. tell the bullies parents
5. go to the police
i don't know the story but from what you told me, i reckon something could've been done.
and what do you mean by disabled? if you don't mind.

Telling the principal seems to be fifty-fifty. In my experience the only way they really listen is if an adult approaches them. In my case I was bullied and ended up with scratches and stuff, my mother phoned the principal and they FINALLY did something about it (Cops went to the bullies houses) me telling the principal did nothing but a "We'll watch em" type of thing. I couldnt do anything about it myself, since it was more then one.
tl;dr: Tell your parents above all else, cause noone else listens.

Get a CCW, if eligible (dependent upon your 'disability' you may be disallowed from even owning a firearm) if not I would advise a stun gun.
Normally, Bullies have an intense dislike from having a large amount of electricity coursing through them. They also tend to suffer rather severe allergic reactions to bullets, on occasion resulting in a bad case of death.

Give them a sucker punch to the nose then finish them as you see fit. People who aren't used to being punched in the face have their eyes swell up and water when they get hit in the nose, this blurs their vision and makes fighting be the last thing on their minds. Bonus points if you break their nose.

They aren't saying it's the victims fault, don't internalize this, instead try to understand why it happens and the modify the situation to stop it. If you can understand WHY the bully targets you specifically, not "I'm handicapped", but what about you makes a good target for him? Do you typically allow him to bully you until a certain point? Do you let the bully get away with almost anything until you get ticked off? If you can truly try to understand what it is, on a psychological level, that makes him comfortable bullying you, you can modify your behavior to the point he will stop.
To understand WHY he is bullying you isn't blaming you, it's the first step to stopping it. If you don't understand why it's happening, your chances of stopping it without outside help are likely slim.Last edited by weskurtz81; 07-28-2012 at 06:36.

I hate to be the cold blooded one in this thread but it's your fault you're bullied. You allow yourself to become the victim. The best way to deal with a bully is to beat them within an inch/centimeter of their life. It's the only way they'll learn that their behavior won't be tolerated. You can't just hit back, tell some person of "authority" or something stupid as to express your feeling to them. People don't care about your feelings. When you tell an adult, their reaction through their actions is essentially, "fuck your feelings". The only way to deal with a bully is to beat the ever-loving-shit out of them and make them understand it. Even if it means you land them a trip to the emergency room and a trip to the intensive care unit.

I agree with this however i think most posters in this thread are being supportive to one of our fellow forum members. Reguardless of how it happened what couldve been done by the member to prevent it in the past really carries no weight since what is done is done all the member can do is move forward with her life.
Alot of factors can go into being bullied insecurity, loneliness, issues at home, how you were raise, ect.. my gf was bullied in HS and she doesnt have a serious condition but she is a shy person now and is not as out going as she like to be she was an only child. I was bullied when i was in 4 and 5th grade i wasnt the biggest kid but i learned really quick to not back down not be afraid to kick someones ass or get my ass kicked.
Bullying effect females different then men while most guys wil say fight back how is a female supposed to fight back against a male bully? For females its emotional than anything especially at those ages. For those that have alot of female friends like me that are in shitty relationship and being abused emotionally? Why because they were bullied or they are insecure because of something in the past because someone took advantage which would also be bullying.
Basically bullying is serious and it cant be treated the same for every person especially they way males and females handle and approach it.Last edited by DeviousOne; 07-28-2012 at 20:05.

I'm just moving on. I hope the nightmares will stop or lessen. On my half, I plan to be more pro active in stopping bullying. I can't fight or hit anyone, because then I'd go to jail and it's just not worth it. I don't have bond money or fine money. I can, however, deal with it the best I can by ignoring it or sneering back if someone sneers at me.
I can't afford for it to get physical. Plus, these are grown men I would be fighting, not boys like it was in my younger years. A man can easily hurt a woman.Awww! Little baby bunny! <3

Hate to be insensitive. But get the help you need and move on.

Are you still being bullied? Jail should be the least of your worries in these instances. But yeah, if you're being bullied by grown men, then physical violence probably isn't the best option, because if they're so pathetic to mess with a female, then I wouldn't put it past them to harm you. I don't know if there's much else to say that others haven't already said. All I can say is good luck with your recovery, try to stay positive, and surround yourself with friends and family. As far as proving to others, you shouldn't worry about that. You need to focus on you.
@PepMaster
From the context of your post, I take it you were in the military. So let start by saying thank you for your service, and I'm sorry for what your going through now. But I gotta say, war/combat is not the only way to be diagnosed with PTSD, even though it's the most common. Now I'm not trying to compare her bullying with what you have seen/done, but it obviously had a serious impact on her.
