Because of the open end aspect of the console. I do agree with you about it getting alot of throw away titles this is a good way of indie developers getting into the big time and possibly making it with a big company working with them or selling a concept. I think thats the most appealing aspect of it and will bring some of that mobile gmaing money into the console market

Gaikai isnt ever going to be exclusive to Playstation the whole idea is that it can be used on practically any device.

I completely agree. I for one am really excited about what Ouya is going to be able to bring to the industry.
a $99 console designed to bring back inde and bedroom developers? Whats not to love about this little system. I haven't backed any more due to financial reasons but as soon as they are able to sell more Ouya's i'll be buying one with a few controllers.
I can't stress enough how much i love the idea.I Like Games.

Well I don't fully understand what this thing is, it looks to be a console to stream OnLive (PC games), which is pretty sweet.
I still think it'll flop though, MS had a hard enough time breaking into Sony and Nintendo's dominance, but MS had billions for developers and publishers.

Pretty much yeah. You can just use your Ouya for playing decent Android games with a controller or if you want to have a little more serious gaming then you can use Onlive/Gaikai for streaming games. This is certainly going to be a very interesting release.
Being honest i only want to buy one to stream things to my TV and XBMC and maybe a few silly games here and there. I've spent more money on a night down town so it seems like a no brainer for me to buyI Like Games.

The "free to play - but you'll have to spend 100+ $ to have the complete game and have fun" concept makes me puke, the Wii - followed by the phone games - has really destroyed the quality of games by attracting the "casuals", people who don't know crap about technology and will buy fun and trendy things, play it twice and go on to the newest thing. I hope this all kills itself.

I'll make up my mind IF/WHEN this becomes relevent. As of now the gaming market is filled to the brim with consoles, pcs, handhelds, phones, pads, and probably even my toothbrush has games on it idk....so color me unimpressed until it proves something.
I also don't think this will scare Sony/Microsoft because I'm sure they will have Gaikai/Onlive on their consoles too. This may sell...but it isn't a replacement type thing...just an additional type thing.
That said sometimes it only takes like one game like Tetris/Angry Birds to become a cult phenomenon and everyone will buy it.

Oyua has a chance... We'll see its def not ground breaking tech but the idea however is very interesting and that's what making me believe it could be semi sucessful on the market
