What a 100m last night. For some reason I was unbelievably anxious before the start of the race and I just thought because all of the hype and pressure on Bolt he wouldn't deliver, he put me in my place, that man is something else.
I feel bad that Gatlin, the dirty cheat that he is, got bronze. Was quite hoping that Gay would've got that, felt bad for him.

Except for the penalty call which wasn't a penalty call at all.. no one is arguing the bad call really. The officiating has been bad for both teams.. more so for Canada though.

Referee ruining an otherwise amazing final.

Yeah, it was def. hyper extended... that wasn't the USA players fault at all though. Helps to watch that particular play and you'll understand why.

Bah, watch the actual incident that the penalty was called for. It hit the first player's elbow, then the second players hand. It was def. a good call.

Nothing the player could do about it, was hit right at her. Rule on handballs aren't consistent though and each referee seems to interpret them differently.

No it doesn't ONLY state that... it brings in a mishandled ball, doesn't mean intentional, that creates an advantage. It was a good call.

Looked to me like she jumped and turned and the ball hit the arm and deflected off it into another players hand.

We can argue this till the cows come home it will never change the result and its easy for us to say since we have the added benefits of replays.

Her hands weren't in an unnatural position. She was attempting to block the ball, players can't play with their arms down by their side for the whole match.

Her arms weren't waving around all over the place. Genuine attempt to block the ball, nothing deliberate about it and nothing unnatural about the position of her arms. But as I said, the rule is inconsistent which leads to lots of different interpretations from referees. But this one should have not been a penalty and was very harsh on Canada.

You could also question the free kick leading up to the incident, very rare GK's are punished for holding the ball for longer than 6 seconds.

LAws of the game also say that hand position doesnt necesarily mean an offence has been committed.
