I don't know if you live in Japan or not, but the deaths there are just as bad. I think we had it posted here about a bunch of people walking by an infant dying after a van ran over it...

So, I think it's safe to say that all countries have problems. The solution? People.

So quite a decent amount of states.
Well you CAN open carry without paperwork, but it doesn't mean you should unless you want to freak out a lot of people that you come across and attract a lot of attention from cops, who, if they're determined enough, could potentially charge you with brandishing or dtp. Although those charges don't have a chance of sticking as long as all you're doing is carrying, it would be quite an inconvenience.

F34R, what is your reaction if you see someone open carrying? (I don't know if it's legal where you live and even if it is, probably is incredibly rare)

In Arizona lots of people open carry and nobody "freaks out" about it including the police. I stayed out there for awhile and it wasnt a big deal at all from what I saw. Also I saw a show where a female worker at a Subway sandwich shop in Arizona had a sidearm and nobody thought anything of it. lol

If it's legal, then that's all there is to it. I don't have issues with anyone unless they are breaking the law.

I carry my M9 on my side sometimes, and no one does anything more then look at the gun for a second.

Don't know why they would. Its just a sidearm, its not like I'm toting an M1 on my back or anything.

I guess it would depend on the location. For example, it might be viewed differently here in Philadelphia, especially downtown.

I was born in an entirely different country, yet I get it too. There's no reason why anyone shouldn't get it imo.

At least be born outside of the UK anti-gun propaganda machine.

BTW, did you know that all crime, including the murder rate in the UK was lower BEFORE all of your anti-gun laws? Since your country banned guns your crime has skyrocketed. The violent crime rate in the UK is so astronomically high that you're actually safer walking the streets of Detroit at night than your are many areas of Manchester or London.

Of course your British propaganda machine is never going to admit that, but the statistics don't lie.

For the record, based off the last published statistics....

UK Violent Crime Rate = 2,048 per 100,000
US Violent Crime Rate = 426 per 100,000

The UK violent crime rate is nearly 500% higher than the US. And that's despite the fact that the UK does not include ANY crime where the victim is under 16 years old in it's crime statistics.

I guess I would have to be born British to believe that such out of control violent crime is safe.
