Just got my Vita, less than 24hrs later getting PSN error

NP-2244-2 started showing up after I made a couple purchases. Can't seem to shake this error. Anyone having this issue currently? Or know how to fix it?

PSN recently had maintenance, I heard theirs still a few errors they're working out.

Ok good, was hoping it was a psn thing and not a credit card thing. Thanks guys.

I gotta say, I'm impressed with this device. I quickly rushed online and bought FF Tactics, FF4 complete and Stardust. Also picked up wipeout, little deviants and gravity rush retail copies.

My error occured this morning as I was queueing up FF4 and Dissidia for download. FF4 started and said 45mins to DL, which seemed odd...and then when I went to queue up Dissidia it started feeding me that error.

I'm still waiting for the ps1 classics patch to hit, cause I want to put as much of the original FF collection on one memory card (already got the 32gb card). Among other games like lunar, chrono trigger, xenogears, etc. Planning to make this baby my one stop shop for all things classic rpg.

Anyone have a guess as to whether or not the ps1 classics will fit to screen size? Or will they be limited to their original format? I'm guessing the games would need an overhaul like FF4 got eh?

Not too sure but i may get a Vita in the near future if i find a good deal on one ill pick one up. I tried one out at Gamestop and like how it felt holding it. just not enough content that appeals to me yet to get one

Shame. Would be great if they all looked like FF4 remake did. I'd give my left nut if they'd give the same treatment for FF6 and Chrono Trigger.

regarding that trailer that Kuro posted - I sighed a little >;/. Thought they'd have the emulator stretch to the width of the screen. I swear the PSP ps1 emulator did that

On PSP there is a custom stretch option, but they should just have a 480X272 option for PSP.

Must be some kind of security precaution. If they see too much activity from a single credit card source, they block ya for 24-xx hrs. My card works fine, and I've re-entered it numerous times into their system and updated my billing location, but to no avail.

I have money sitting in my account bored out of its mind and sony doesn't want it

If you have billing info on the PS3, make sure it's the same as the Vita.

The info was different, but made no difference after I updated it. Nor did it change the fact I was able to make 4 purchases back to back before it stopped me at my 5th.

Some people have reported that sony seems to lock the credit card account if suspicious activity takes place, ie. alot of purchasing in a short amount of time. They've been able to get around it by buying a prepaid card and using it, or they've had to wait upwards to 3 days for their billing account to become active again.

I'll keep everyone posted if things change.

So I called sony today and heres the scoop...

They have activity mods on duty that monitor billing on a very active basis. And apparently if the mod on duty decides that activity seems fishy, he'll lock the billing for a psn account for X amount of time. The guy I spoke with wasn't sure if the 'X' was 24hrs or 72hrs. His info shows 72hrs but he's heard claims of it unlocking in 24hrs.

The catch is however, is the clock resets anytime an attempt is made. So if you wait 23.5hrs and the unlock would have happened 30mins later, yet you try anyway...you're now waiting another 24hrs.

I tried this morning when I woke up and it didn't work. So I'll wait until tomorrow morning/afternoon and test again, if it still doesn't work then I'll wait until the weekend. Will report my findings.

That seems a bit excessive, to say the least.
