Would you recommend Syndicate?

Play.com are selling Syndicate for £12.99, is it worth taking the plunge??

I bought it on release and I really enjoyed the co op modes, they were really fun. The story mode is quite generic, but good never the less. It's similar to Deus Ex Human Revolution. If its really cheap, I'd say get it!

Thematically it might be similar to Deus Ex but it plays completely different, and doesn't look as good. Deus Ex is more of a stealth puzzle game with some very weird combat concepts. Syndicate is a pretty generic first person shooter that looks about 8-12 months older than it is. I can't even remember now if I finished the game, I know that I was getting frustrated with a boss fight near the end, and I didn't enjoy the game enough to bother reviewing it. I've heard the multiple player is better, but wasn't that impressed with the single player campaign. It isn't the worst game I've played this gen, and it might be worth picking up for cheap, but I don't consider it worth full price.

Thanks for the info. I was worried to buy when it come out but I didnt. You are right. I will buy it if its sale for cheap.
