I love Kickstarter..

Only a few hours in and it has already almost doubled its goal! This thing looks awesome and it also has some influential backers. Gabe Newell, Clff Blizenski and John Carmack..
Watch the video in the link. I'll be getting one of these.

Does look pretty cool and interesting though, as much as i'd like to buy one until games start supporting it, it will just gather dust. Hopefully the screen resolution will be increased in the retail model.
Got to love the way these ideas that may not have been noticed as quickly can are now possible through KickstarterI Like Games.

Admittedly it is in the multi-plat section so you're probably right!

Interesting review on the Oculus Rift from Digital Foundry Here. I quite like the idea of it, they make comparisons to the Sony viewer and say that the Sony one will be better for movie watching though the Rift is geared towards the gamer.

Current Rift model is not really ready yet and is constantly evolving.
It certainly will be interesting how the first consumer version will be.
Hoping for very fast oled screen with 120-240hz refresh. (something like 2560x720 could be good.)
If you guys want to know on all kinds of development on rift, I would suggest to look on VR forum where Carmack and others write on how to tackle problems. (IE. how to view movies on the thing.)
