Lol, i was the complete opposite from you. Was primarily a PC gamer before the PS3 came out, rather than upgrade my PC i bought a PS3 and then 2 years ago shifted my gaming back to PC. I'm just more suited to KB/M really and with things like the 1000 player Just Cause 2 mod coming out i find it hard to leave!
Each to their own i suppose, as long as we can play some games![]()

Released 8 years ago and still around 10 million players today, I think the drop is just due to the game getting on, it is still seriously impressive.
I don't play any MMO at the moment, but honestly I tried warhammer, lotr, starwars, rift and they all lack the polish and fluidness of WOW, I think it's still the best MMO out there.
hopefully guildwars 2 will change that.

Any game coming to PS3 can't be a bad thing. I'd play GW2 on the TreyStation.

Personally I'd get it for PC, but the more the merrier for PS3. Definitely would be a worthy game to play.

yea but the thing with WoW is it had the worst lore I have ever seen in a MMORPG, it was god awful. not only that but the Lore in WoW never actually tied into the game so it was just "blah".
now with Guild Wars and the fact that you don't have a subscription based tag on the game makes it that much better. As for World of Warcraft, the content in that game is basically non-existent, every expansion took forever to release and they were not that big either.

I disagree with everything you said except the GW bit, but dragging WoW in this thread is the wrong thing to do.
Watching some videos I have concerns on guild wars 2 though i'll still get it day 1:
1. You walk or teleport everywhere. One thing I liked about MMORPGs is exploring the world with a mount, devs say you won't need to as you can fast teleport anywhere. But part of being immersed in an MMO is exploring and finding weird stuff or the boundaries without it being tediously slow.
2. I watched some videos on dungeons, there are no fixed rolls which seemed like a good idea but everyone was getting through just blasting dps and doing what they wanted without communicating.
Part of the fun I had was the team coming up with a strategy and communicating , people were accountable for playing crap. In this, since everyone is just spamming dps, pve doesn't seem as skillful.
This bodes well for PS3 as it makes it more about reading the animations and situations rather then being bogged down with hotkeys and strategy.
