Agreed. It's already enough that the Xbox 360 receives DLC before the PlayStation 3; adding Call of Duty Elite to the picture only fragmented things more.

Loving the wall hacks they added... Is that a joke or something? Was I the only one that noticed that..? This game had potential, but they just added too much unnecessary SHIT. Can't wait to hear all the bitching about how everything is unbalanced.

And why can't they ever take the time to AT LEAST get some new weapon sounds?

Yup, 360 for me. But I might actually get it on the PS3 as well. I have never played a COD title on my PS3.

I personally like ELITE, because for the $40 extra, holy CRAP did I get my money worth and then some...and I am STILL getting content and maps through September. I do think they should release them on the same day for 360/PS3 though. Looks like that won't be the case again for Black Ops 2. MS retained those rights again.

Yep, excitement level just went up to 10! I've been waiting for Black Ops 2 ever since the day MW3 released. I said to myself after playing some 20 odd matches, "good god I can't wait for Black Ops 2 because this sucks." I like most of the stuff that they are doing. I like how it looks like they left most of the basic formula alone. One thing I am concerned about it the HUD that makes you see someone through smoke and walls. I'm sure it's a perk or a low killstreak but seems a bit too much. Hoping it is a killstreak. Other than that no concerns here. Bring it on Treyarch, the superior maker of COD games.

Edit: NM about the see thru stuff. I saw it in the IGN video. Scope looks hacked up.

I'm sure they'll be something to block being seen with that scope. It's like a uav once aimed though refreshes every couple seconds.

The trailer looked pretty good, I'll need to see some more to know for sure if I'm going to buy this game or not.

I definitely hope they don't dumb down this game for COD Elite like IW did with MW3. I mean, BO had like 6 different colors for your clan tag at prestige 14, and MW3 removes them all and gives Elite members/people in an elite clan a gold (yellow really) clan tag? Ridiculous..

Also if they bring back Common Groups they have to fix those, as they don't work for shit atm. I see atleast 1 person with a common group in every game I play. For example I'm in the group "Netherlands", MW3 says someone else is in that same group however their profile often shows they're French/German/American/Chinese aka the game just makes up these common groups probably to make you feel like you're playing with people with the same interests/descents as you when they clearly don't.

I wasn't considering getting it, because my wife and I only played MW3 actively for about 3-4 months before putting it aside. However, we just picked the game back up again 2 weeks ago, and have been playing daily with friends, so Black Ops 2 is back on the table. We have only been doing the Call of Duty scene since World at War (Playing each game in succession afterward).

We really liked the trailer, though it seems there will be many...many ways to get annoyed by wtf kills or stun kills this time around :P.

In the end, we will probably end up doing the midnight release, just like we did for Mw3 -.-;

We play casually with a very small group. We aren't the best nor the worst of players; we are not annoying on the mic (only really say "the enemy is over here" or "I'm going over here'); and we are all adults (all with about 8-9 years in the Army, with the exception of my wife).

MW3 kept my attention for about 2 weeks. Cod4 kept my attention for 2 years.

My play time for each
COD4: 2 Months(Mostly due to connection issues)
MW2: 6 Months
BlackOps: 1+ Year
MW3: 2 Weeks

I also didn't see the fun with Modern Warfare 3. I couldn't enjoy it no matter how many times I played it. Hopefully, Black Ops 2 will be just as fun as the last.

Yeah I passed Black Ops pretty quickly with MW3 in terms of hours too. I got to 7th prestige or something in Black Ops and I've been on 10th prestige in MW3 for a while now cause I decided to stop there and just get the gold guns.

Anyone know if it will have a bot mode again? Loved that feature in the first Black Ops. All the rank structure, unlocks, killstreaks, customization, and gameplay as online multiplayer, all without the douchebags and idiots that come with actual online gameplay. I was in heaven.
