Jet Moto was one of the first games I played on the PSone, alongside Crash Bandicoot. Looking at the Wikipedia article for the first game, I can't help but agree with 1UP, that it symbolized everything that made the original PlayStation cooler than anything else at the time.
That being said, do you think Sony should revive the Jet Moto IP? And if so, which platform would best suit it? The PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, or PlayStation 4?

This is first I heard of it. Actually I might of played it on one of those demo discs or something. Anyways yeah they should for both vita and Ps3 and make it crossplay like Wipeout.

Also, I should point out that I've never played the sequels. I remember seeing Jet Moto 2 at my local Blockbuster though. All three games seem to have mixed reviews. :/

Have you completed the game? I've only won a couple races, to be honest.

A Jet Moto reboot would be a awesome PS4 launch title.

Yeah, it kind of reminds me of MotorStorm - difficult, but fun.

I was thinking about this game being relaunched with a sequel a year ago. Would be really awesome. Hell, I even loved that 989 studios logo. I remember that was pretty big back in the PS days.

989 was big for the PS1 no doubt!

I remember Jet Moto, I still have my copy of Jet Moto 3 but its all scratched up. It would be awesome if a studio picked up the franchise and remade it. I believe a cross platform title for both PS3 and Vita would be the best idea.
Jet Moto was a truly unique racing game and the potential for having a new iteration of it is extremely high, just look at how successful Warhawk was and the basis from it was a simple ps1 game.

Well the only other Jet Moto game I ever played was Jet Moto 2 which was on my friend's ps3 and while I only played it for about and hour, I noticed that the characters aren't as interesting as in the third one but certain races made the bikes feel faster than in JM3 although I have to say the track designs are way better in JM3. I can't really say anything for the original JM

I always considered Jet Moto to be the poor man's Wave Race 64 ... though if they were to revive the IP across any of their hardware range then I guess it would be best suited to the PS Vita.

I loved Jet Moto 2. I would spend hours playing against my buddy. I tried playing it again not long ago, wow those graphics are bad lol
