As my wife will tell you, equal does NOT mean "the same".

There are many things that are different between my wife an myself. In some cases we are exact opposites. However, that does not make us unequal, that just makes us different. My wife is every bit my equal, even if I do all of the lawn work and car care while she cleans the laundry and cooks.

This is how my relationship is as well at home. In the work place and the real world women have the same opportunities as men this whole woman suppression excuse is BS

Men and women both have their strengths and weaknesses, and thats what makes our relationships work sometimes. I wouldn't want my lady to be just as good as me in some areas and vice versa..it's why we compliment each other.

What should be equal is the respect shared for each other despite our flaws.

I understand about back in the 50's and 60's woman were treated like shit and not respected well its 2012 and this is not the case anymore. I think in America woman have it best compared to the majority of the rest of the world proof is in this article cluad3 posted.
