Just saw this on YouTube and I can't contain myself i am so damn excited for the new season to start, maybe even more excited than I was for season 5 of Breaking Bad, and that's saying alot!

I was wondering how they were going to start the new season and they went head on and have done it perfect, imo. Glad there isn't a time difference between seasons!

Oh yeah I can't wait to see what happens. Whats Deb going to do? After all, she just discovered she may love him in ways she didn't expect! Is it all going to click after seeing what she did, is she going to put two and two together and tie him to the bay harbor butcher?

So much can happen between now and season 8. I just don't want to wait any longer!

Just as I thought, Deb will try to call the cops because she's in shock, Dex will stop her somehow, and I hope she understands what he does is for the good of the justice system that these criminals will take advantage of..remember the Trinity Killer season? Deb also caught Dexter doing his work (except she only saw a man behind the plastic drapes) and let him go. She'll understand. Maybe they can finally be in love and help each other catch the bad guys on the side. Of course, it will take a few episodes for her to come to terms. But I think once she see's a gruesome murder and criminal get away with it by defense attorney, she will truly understand. And why do I have a feeling Dexter will be shot by Debra when he tries to stop her from calling the station?

I just caught up on last nights episode. What did everyone think? That ending has got me desperate for more now!

Thought it was great...

After seeing the scenes for the next episode after the first, we see Deb take Dexter in and try to help him. What I don't get is the baby sitters boyfriend, what the fuck is his deal? Thought it was really odd he uses Dexter's laptop without his permission, then spaz's out about and cuts off Dexters credit cards!!

I did find it a bit hard to believe that LaGuerta found the blood slide, not sure why she took it away later on though. [Can't remember the storyline pertaining to the character that Masuka referred to that took blood slides.]

Great first episode. At the end of the episode I was sitting there with my jaw on the floor saying "HOLYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!" haha.

As far as the boyfriend, we got a few hints last season that he was onto who Dexter really was. At least I thought so.

The character Masuka mentioned, Doakes, was the black sergeant that was always freaked out by Dexter. It was referring to the Season 2 storyline, where he found out about Dexter, and Dexter ultimately framed him, although whoever that British chick was had a lot to do with it too.

Get to it DV, it's reminded me why Dexter is the best thing on TV since, dare I say it, Breaking Bad (33x won't agree but it's true) the cliffhanger was immense!

yeah I don't like the boyfriend guy, he's been bugging me since I first saw him. As for the ending, I've watched the last scene from then the door opens about 6 times now. It was fucking brilliant. I think Dexter actually looked quite relieved though as he admitted to being a serial killer. Even more, Deb looks quite relaxed as he told her. It was brilliant how they made deb piece everything together and well the end, the end was just amazing! I'm now really interested to see how debs conflicting feelings are for Dex, have they changed? I hope not, I'm one of 'those' guys that actually wants them together all in all, what a way to start the season! I don't think I'm going to be able to wait all week to find out what's going to happen now.

I think the airport scene, whilst good was a bite careless on his part though. In lost baggage? Really, dexter?

I agree with you 100% on everything, I am really excited for this season as SO MUCH happened in just the ONE episode and it raises sooo many questions, that douchey IT bf, laguerta, deb&dex's relationship. Amazing stuff, soo much better than I thought the episode was going to be.

I thought it was odd that laGuerta(spelling? lol) of all people found that blood slide, but I'm assuming the caught it reflecting some light or something

Many people view BB better than Dexter and whenever I'm watching BB i think it is better than Dexter but i forget how much i get sucked into Dexter when watching that.

When the second half of BB starts next year i'll be back to saying that's the best thing ever. I'm fickle like that

The only reason I'd say BB is stronger is because it hasn't had a poor season yet. Dexter seasons 2 and 3 were bad imo.

And I believe you mean Dexter, BB, and Sherlock get 24 out of that tier lol.

Well then I hope I make your day by telling you that it's back this weekend haha. Through my familiarity with the comics, I can say that this season should be a great one.

God I hope not, that whole 'love' part was really stupid and awkward last season.

They're probably maneuvering to bring the series to an end at this point. Maybe next season will be the last? I hope not, but I do hope it can write itself off on its own terms and not be eventually cancelled.

Well I always pictured the series ending like this:

Debra eventually helps Dexter and accepts what he does, not try to "cure" him. She helps him by seeing a horrific crime, and with nothing to arrest the criminal on. This season's bad guy is perfect for that story to come in effect, because he's an international criminal. A rich one who can escape but cannot be extradited. She will see why Dexter is the way he is, why he is doing the world a favor by killing these bad guys. She will then accept and help him, after being pushed to a point of desperation by the criminal.

After she accepts Dexter, she helps him by running some police searches on people he has to kill instead of him doing it. She doesn't go with him on the kills, because she can't handle the bloodshed..yet. And her love for him develops. I really wanna see them be a couple, like Bonnie & Clyde. The Vigilante Killers of Florida. Not as cheesy as that, but you get my point. And frankly, it's ok if they fuck because they are not blood-related. Hell, if my step-sister was that hot, I would give her some action everyday. Oh yeah! It's not incest if it's fake. LOLOL


Anyway, the last episode of this season is the Latina captain (cause I can't remember her name) finding out Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher, the killer of Sgt. Dokes and every other criminal the department tried to arrest and convict, but couldn't because of Dexter being a vigilante killer.

This is where it ends and the new season begins. She sets up a task force to catch Dexter, but also keeps an eye on Debra and tells her about Dexter to see what her reaction is. She fails the reaction test and she is also on the watch-list. But she doesn't move. She lets it play out. This is when Dexter and Debra try to expand their killing business to other states. They gain a cult following by people who respect what they are doing, and even copycats who try to be like them, but get caught because they are amateurs.

And the last episode of the series is where Dex and Deb are caught red-handed. They try to escape but have a stand off. They get shot and killed. But they are remembered for their deeds by the rest of the world. It inspires other people, worldwide to become vigilantes of justice. Dex and Deb die as heroes.

Latest episode was better than the 2nd i feel.

I think Debs is finally going to come to terms and accept Dexters dark passenger soon. If not that death will be on her mind for a long time. I was shocked to see Louis get taken out like that. I had a feeling he was a little bit more crucial to the story. Maybe the babysitter chick, i forgot her name, will put two and two together. He said Dexter was trying to ruin his life and now he is dead with some of his blood on Dexters boat.

And now he has the Russian mobsters boss on his ass. What is Dexter going to do next?

Glad Louis got taken out, even if it wasn't by Dexter, although, what could Dexter do to get rid of him as killing him goes against his code. Glad to see Ray Stevenson in this and will be interesting to see Dexter will handle him as well as Speltzer...

Disappointed that there wasn't more than just immature spite to Louis' story. I was sure that he knew who Dexter really was. Oh well, glad he's dead but expected much more in terms of back and forth mind games between him and Dexter before anything happened.

I don't think Deb will ever "accept" Dexter for who he is, but she is quickly becoming disillusioned by the effectiveness of her job.
