FINAL FANTASY VII Out Now on PC!

So I just got an email from Square Enix..I know this is nuts, but I'm buying it again.

Bought and downloaded it already warning the download is very slow, i have a 20mb connection but the download was only going at 0.5 kbps

Its been ported to PC in 2012. Try running windows 7 on a PC from 1997.

Did some more research and decided not to buy it. No support for higher resolution, no real changes made, rubbish PC music still in it and easy achievements.

No..its basically the original PC version patched to work on newer rigs with some trophies thrown in.

Wow that sucks, expected it to be a slightly upgraded version since they programmed achievements in there, they couldve at least fixed the music.

I see, I was under the impression this was the games first outing on the PC platform due to the amount of song and dance being shown.

Controls should be able to be configured in the menu like the PS1 version..

..and no that is what the music in the original PC version sounded like..one of the complaints.

I hated the music in the PC version I think they upgraded from MIDI to a recent more better version at the time but MIDI was awesome for PSOne games etc I think putting the short cuts like max hp gil will take away the best experience to the game but you dont have to use I suppose then again i think if you use it you cant earn the achievements.

If I recall correctly on the 4th disc of the Ultimate Edition in the UK there were sound bank files that if you owned a Creative Sound Blaster 16 AWE then you were able to use those files to change the music to the sound of the real instruments and it sounded absolutely stunning. Unfortunately not many people knew about this.

With the re-release I can see this game being modded to hell and back graphically again.
