Luke Smith, that name sounds familiar. Must be from the old 1UpYours podcast.

Ive edited my post since to explain the flip flopping comment, hope you understand what I mean and perhaps it will help ya in a way, and yeah we go round & round but I remember how ya was when you first sign up, I owe a lot of rep to you liking my posts I guess due to how sarcastic I can be lol
Luke Smith worked on Halo after leaving 1up
Very opinionated, but can be on both sides but mainly a Halo fan
He made the comment about Sony when people said they was arrogant
I believe it was " does Sony have a right to be arrogant? Dam right they do, they're the only company that has a right to be after ripping a new asshole out of everyone the past two gens!"

Well, the thing is, we are only consumers, and we really dont have a large say (as individuals) on what games companies do. People should be more worried about the direciton devlopment teams are taking rather than the publishers. Activision and EA are far more evil than any of the console manufacturers.
I am looking forward to quite a few titles this Xmas period however, most of which I also know will probably not live up to my expectations. Most of which I will wait to get when its cheaper.
This late into the gen, so very little does surprise me.
I simply cant get enthuased for title X or Y untill I've seen a few reviews and then played the game myself.
Raving about X or Y before it comes out seems pointless to me these days.
Perhaps I'm just approaching 40 and am getting jaded a little.
Its been a long time since I felt that rush of enjoying a AAA title that took me into another world. Mass Effect was one of them, but even that ended up as a formulaic shooter. Minecraft nearly did it for me untill I relased how very little reward you got from actually finding a spider nest or whatever those stupid pigs in cages are supposed to be.
Games like Beneath a steel sky, Sam and Max, The Dig, KOTR, the original Halo all felt so very fresh back in the day.....

Eh sony needed gamescom more than the other two. Nintendo has an event near tgs that's going to be the wii u blow out. Would have kind of made appearing with no big announcments kind of boring.
Microsoft has already said that beyond E3 they want to start having more of their own events after dropping out of ces eariler this year. Also I don't think they had anything to actually announce for this gen but maybe some arcade games.
Also sony's lineup for the fall seems good. Though I would have had sport's champions released eariler this year so sorcery could have been launched alongside wonderbook.
Sony's problem has never been the games. Its usually been the timing as well as having horrible marketing.
