bought MW3 yesterday second hand. i noticed there was a bar-code sticker on the actual disk, but thought nothing of it. popped in the game, and my disk drive starts making a fast but soft 'clicking' noise - kind of like a bust ball-bearing. anyway, pull out the game - NO FUCKING STICKER.
which makes perfect sense. it sounds like the sticker is rubbing against the disc, kind of like those old-school plastic spoke-cards that flick against your bicycle wheel.
question is, will gamestop feel obliged to help me out? what do people reckon? do they put these stickers on as standard on second hand games? think it will help my case if they do....

You need to take it back and say "whose idea was it to put stickers on discs?"

All the GameStops I've been to have never done that(It's actually a terrible idea for quality purposes). If it was indeed a third hand game then I wonder why the shop you got it from didn't bother to remove the bar code?. They shouldn't shift blame on anyone else since they're the ones who sold it to you like that.

Whoever was the smart one that decided to put a sticker on the DISC, is a complete moron. Though I honestly would of peeled that sucker off before sticking it in the system.. but I'm anal about stickers and logos.. I absolutely hate em. lol

is it not reasonable to assume that a shop wouldn't put a sticker on a disc if there was any chance of it coming off and fucking the drive? After all, they deal with games every day. So I suppose the shop gets a free pass when it comes to common sense? Everyone I've spoken to agrees the shop is responsible. You are just being contrary for the sake of it

Sorry mate but I also have to agree with Yungstar, if a sticker is on the Disc (and I've bought many a game from both GAME and GameStation) then remove them, every single game I've purchased I have done this as I never want to risk it coming off inside my drive and I guess you've just proved it here.
I don't want to sound like a tard but honestly this is your fault and not theirs.
