I would love to see another true SOCOM. I would pay so much money for that.

If only Confrontation had a much larger playerbase and fewer issues at launch...

I got it for PC, having never played a CS game before I realised quickly that everyone is a damn pro and I can't get a kill for shit. People hopping round corners headshotting me with ease.

If I buy this it will be the first CS game I have bought even though I own both 1.6 and Source.
1.6 came with Half-life and Source came with Half-Life 2.

I have that game (confrontation) I couldn't get into it because there is no way I could find to test my setting in a server on my own before joining a match for real ndeverytiem I tried changing them I got kicked for AFK.

Ok so anyone who has bought it on PSN: How is it with a controller? I liked playing it on the PC, but I have to admit, I really sucked at playing that game back then....I was a kid then...I just wanna know if it's worth getting or will I get massacred again.

play in uranked rooms to get your settings right before going to ranked servers where the big boys play

I've had no problem getting kills with the controller. I had to really increase the control sensitivity though in the beginning.

Yeah this is the norm for some hardcore CS players out there.

And I actually prefer the DS3, and I'm sorry to say that. The mouse has a delay and the sensitivity is awful. You can adjust the settings however it still isn't as accurate and pin-point as it would be with a computer.

^ It does, but like I said, you may have problems with it. You could try fiddling with the sensitivity and acceleration options in the menu. Just plug em in to the USB ports.

I suggest you let Valve know about it so they can fix it, if they do not know the problem exists they cannot fix it.

Man. I appreciate the informative information people have given but really...insulting someone because their game preference is different seems pretty rediculous. People on these boards get so crazy if you don't like the game they like. I stated my preference and I think I have a very good reason for not liking this type of game. I prefer games where the guns mimic real life in the sense that they have proper recoil, shoot differently (where you have to adjust your shooting style to best utilize your particular weapon). Sorry if I prefer my shooters to hold some realm of realistic gameplay. No where in the world do you get cross hairs without aiming. I don't like it and I'm sure there are those that do....obviously. I enjoy my PC for other games but that is why I don't play shooters. I don't get the sense of accomplishment of using a weapon as it is intended.

This game is a very good game. I liked the maps and the graphics were fine...I'm sorry if people think I'm stupid because I didn't like how the gun mechanics worked. I thought my questions and later my opinion was warranted. I will be passing and was only stating that because others that feel the way I do about those gameplay mechanics would find it valuable...even if you do not.

So I bought the game, gonna play it later. I hope I don't get massacred. My favourite FPS style of shooting is BF3, then COD, even though I don't own any COD game.

And what's with this PSN PLAY thing? Says I'll get $10 store credit because I bought this game between now and September.

It was pretty easy for me to get accustomed. Of course I've been practicing with bots and I can easily platinum this just by playing with bots lol. But this is a very fun game.

When I try to play online, it says I need to a Steam account, however when I click on the "sign up for Steam" tab, I can play and don't have to sign up. I'm sorta on the fence about joining Steam, considering it was hacked and lots of info was taken. Should I join?
