the only thing I dont like about the game is how it slows your movements down when you're being shot at. the 180° turn doesn't work all the time

The slowing down is called "tagging" and it was initially nerfed in comparson to CS 1.6 there was a multiple paged thread requesting to increase it similar to 1.6 values which they did on 23rd check this news post out.

Has the PS3 version been updated yet? If not then assumning they implement all gameplay changes into all version its only going to get worse for you
The thread has a few videos of how it works and how to use it to YOUR advantage.

For newcomers, I strongly recommend the AUG(It has a scope so save up!). I've been racking up nice kills with it(New to CS btw).

Just buy it on PC in the mean time it only £12. Valve get their money and Sony do not for being jerks.

Wow, there's only one other person on my list who has this game, everyone is busy playing COD...if anyone wants to add me so we can get some matches in one day, feel free. My PSN is the same as this screen-handle for the forum. Just let me know it's you in the message. Or say even "PSU forums"

I have the beta on the PC, put a good 30 hours into that. Just got it on ps3, but anyone know if it is like how portal 2 was where you get both versions? Regardless, if not I'll be getting both either way. Just would be nice haha.

I've had this PC for just under a year now and I still suck at Battlefield 3 with the mouse and especially keyboard, so I think I'll pass on this.

Dont blame the tools.
Seriously its just practice, BF3 isnt an easy game to dominate in even if you get the hang of the mouse.Last edited by keefy; 09-02-2012 at 23:21.

I wish they brought over the steam version (1.5) versus Source but at least it's CS. My god, so many memories come rushing back. I would get this for the nostalgia and then get immersed in all the fun again. However, I'm not sure I'd be very good with a controller, mouse and keyboard is what this game was designed for. PC shooters just move faster.

Counter-Strike-Global , well I have heard about it alot, but have not got chance to play it. I played max payne 3 , modern warfare latest version. I really like them .These are some of the best games. I hope c.Strike will not spoil my that experience

I experienced nostalgia overload the first time I started the game up. I had such a big grin across my face, running around Office and Dust.
I personally think the game is fantastic. Some find it be a bit underwhelming, but in all honesty, the game is fifteen bucks. You get what you pay for IMO.__________

Chicken defusal mode
Customisation for the win.
http://gamebanana.com/ideas/721Most of you, if not all, probably have seen this awesome video featuring Chicken Defusal mode! I found it really funny and interesting at the same time, and since chickens have came out during the Beta, me and MAT4DOR have been messing around to see if we could find some potential in them. I came out with tons of unfinished modes I never released, but the real challenge was creating this actual one.
Now, I can see if you find this "not new", or something, but really, the guy who made the video made it as a joke, so I took this idea and made this concept map. After mastering some entity properties, hacking some stuff here and there, with lots of experimentations we managed to do it! Trust me, it wasn't easy.
The NPC characteristics and the way chickens actually interact with the player are fun, and it's one of my favorite new things about CS:GO. Making this mode / map type was challenging but fun at the same time. I want to give credit of course to flashdeckanims for the inspiration, to MAT4DOR and Se7en for helping me overcome some dificulties.

^ LOL very nice.
I'd love to see some sort of console DLC from the modding community, if that is even possible. At the very least, a zombie mode. I loved playing the zombie mod in Source.__________

That would be sick. Custom maps powered by mods. It can be done just like in UT3 when it was on the PS3. Ok, now that I think about it, I want this to happen. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.

Just for the fact that it's not made by Valve and that it's only 5v5...not buying it. I don't care it's $15.

Want more players then PC version is for you.
The guys that make it are a stones throw from Valve HQ and they have been updating CS:Source for 2 years.Last edited by keefy; 09-08-2012 at 07:03.
