You'd think that when they doctored up these shots, they'd add some AA lol.

That is the power of the GTA brand. Other devs studios spend thousands of dollars making cinematic trailers to advertise, and rockstar just releases 3 average shots form the game and people go crazy.

I follow the ICEnhancer guy on facebook and he apperantly isn't that impressed from gta V visuals (just minor gripes though). Can only imagine what the mods will be like.

I can say they are spending around $130 million on this, since GTA IV costed $110 million. So its safe to say they will add an extra $20 million for that extra epic kick

Like, Naxi said, it will be less expensive because they have the technology to make the game. I will be surprised if they reached $100 million budget.

Producer estimates price tag of $100 million and notes criticism comes mostly from people who haven't played the game

GTA IV producer Leslie Benzies has estimated that the game cost Rockstar approximately USD 100 million to create.

In an interview with the Times Online, Benzies also said that more than 1000 people worked on the title for a period of over a three and a half years.

If the figure is correct, GTA IV's development costs would make it the most expensive game ever made - topping the USD 70 million+ development budget for Sega's Shenmue for the Dreamcast.

GTA IV, however, has already sold over 600,000 copies on the first day in the UK alone and analysts have predicted that the game could gross more than USD 400 million in its first week.

Benzies also noted that much of the beating Rockstar has taken over the past three years - by the government and the press - comes from people who haven't played the game.

Mate you have to understand, rockstar has to break even or they will lose a lot of money. Plus with a $130 million or less price tag. They have to hope what they produce and this includes dlc's. Has to sell enough again for them to break even and keep stock holders happy and make money in the process. Or i could be completely wrong

For starters, only an handful of games/franchises can get away with making a game so expensive and still breaking even within the first month or so, and GTA is defiantly the top of the list.
