Wow. Personally, I think the world would just implode.

“Thank you Mario! But our Princess is in another castle!” (Super Mario Bros.)
"Why not take a break? You can pause the game by pressing +." (Wii Sports)
“It’s super effective!” (Pokemon series)

The world is round, so the jumping would be negated worldwide.

If everyone in the world jumped at the same time, I guess it could act as though a meteor hit the earth with a significantly less impact. The earth would quickly continue on as if nothing happened.

But if we all jump at once. Would the impact be even, therefore no damage will happen. Since the jump would centered towards are earths core and that i can guess can take a massive impact. Or am i looking at it wrong.
Would it not go inwards and be sent in opposite directions, so ones that jump in Japan. Their shockwave will be sent the U.S and the U.S shockwave will be sent to japan. Since the world is round the shackwaves will cross through each other and be sent in opposite directions. Or would they bounce of each other and be sent back to were they originate fromLast edited by claud3; 08-20-2012 at 23:02.

I thought the video was awesome, in the midst of people talking about stuff like "shockwaves" and "inward pressure", he sneaked in actual science: Newton's third law, for us to learn to help answer the queston, but it seemed like a lot of the comments missed this...
