This season Nintendo has two new pieces of Hardware Wii U and 3ds XL a couple first party titles being released. Maybe im writing off Sony too soon this holiday season however as i see it right now (today) if just hard for me to imagine something mind blowing PSBAR is going to be a good game but still alot of questions with that game. The Vita needs more attractive bundles i do like the news about the cross promotion buys tho but i dont think its enough to top a company with 2 new pieces of hardware from Nintendo.

I can't wait for more content on the Vita. I enjoy it as much as the PSP. I used that thing 18 hours out of each day lol.

Yeah that too.
I guess Sony's rational might be that if people want REAL portable gaming, then get the vita (as opposed to high end tablets). however, the Vita can't do what those tablets can do. But if you want gaming then get the Vita.
Though, I still think it should be cheaper as not many people will value portable gaming over a multipurpose device.
I'd get one if it was $250 NZ.

I agree, as a gamer iPad and smartphone games just don't click with me
Don't get me wrong I download a load of games for my smartphone but they end up being wasted space of my phone because I just cant be arsed with them and end up deleting them, guess I should learn that smartphone games can't replace a full fledged game
And thats something the Vita offers.

People are basically getting a price cut this holiday season with the bundles. Sony need more bundles.

Thats why mobile gaming is gaining steam the entry price point on a smartphone or tablet your only investing around 5 bucks instead of 40 + with a handheld console you spend 40 bucks on a console game and you dont like it...you out 40 bucks with a smartphone game 5 bucks or under is easier to swallow but you also get what you paid for as well

My I just say that Final Fantasy 3 is 11 pounds on the Playstore and some are 20 pounds and these are basically PSone level type games, most games that are in the 1 pound range are, sorry to say Shit, and ya 5 pound ones are ya gameloft games
I have no doubt that more 20+ games will arrive and start being the norm the more and more they gain stream, thou the benefits of mobile gaming is pirating

:what:
I ain't denying the quality of some titles, some free ones are good quality, but they just aren't something I'd pay for, and the other more high profile games I wouldn't touch if they was on a console or even Vita so why would the I touch them on a smartphone?
I think a better way of saying it would be my taste is determined by the game, not platform
I don't lower my standards just because its a smartphone.
Games like angry birds are a different story all togather thou, they are great little mobile games and belong on there

Price cut and more games. That's what the Vita needs. The games it has at the moment are pretty good across the board but it just needs more of them!

Bundles and games is all Vita needs! Sony need to bundle Vita + 4gb card + game for €250. The bundles announced already are effectively the same as a Vita price cut, so long as the game is one you wanted.

I'd say an 8GB. A four wouldn't barely be enough to hold a single game lol.

Allow the Vita to have a birthday or at least a Christmas season before writing it off as a flop.
The Tokyo Game Show is coming up. Japan takes portable gaming a lot more serious that the rest of the world as evidenced by the 3DS consistently topping the charts for systems sold there. Rest assured Vita material will be ubiquitous at TGS giving it much needed exposure.

The PS3 is not a flop... Geez, 60+ million...
Betamax was a flop in the HOME market, but it became the industry standard for broadcast and lasted a good 25 years at the top. Minidisc had a similar, but smaller success, because it was used by a lot of industry people, though nowhere near the saturation that Beta had.
The chart showing the comparison to the Dreamcast is scary, though. Granted, Sega died because of mismanagement during the Saturn Era, so I don' think this will KILL them, but the Vita is too good to have sales like that. They need to freaking advertise and drop the price 50 bucks. Get some software sales flowing.
