I know there is emotional trauma, as well as financial problems that come with territory. But I know a real simple to keep that in check, be married with a husband that can support you before you get pregnant.

Giving young sex crazed kids info like that is not really giving them information in which to make mature decisions. They aren't mature enough to think straight.

I thought we were talking about abortion on a larger scale. Of course rape will be the exception made if something permanent, or sharp is done against abortion. But if only that small of an amount of girls where getting pregnant because of rape, then abortion would be a far less disputed topic.

How many people have you known that have had a child and never fully recovered? A woman can have a child and be back to what ever she was doing by the next day. But I guess in your eyes child birth is like a chest buster popping right on out.

I'm with DW on sexual education, no way it works in 100% of the cases... you know the old saying "you can't fix stupid", but I would be very surprised if it didn't help prevent a healthy % of teen pregnancies. Of course, it all comes down to parenting in the end, but strong sex ed course that scares the shit out of a teenager has to have some sort of positive effect.

If a kid has no knowledge or understanding, there's no doubt they won't think twice about having unprotected sex, but if they do have knowledge and understand at least they have a fighting chance.

I'm not against it, but it really depends on the situation. If you are capable of taking care of a baby then you probably shouldn't be aborting it. However situations like rape, too young or just can't take care of a child then it is ok. Though it is up to the individual to decide.

Personally if I was having a kid and wasn't ready for one, I would prefer for it to be put up for adoption.

When my girlfriend told me she loved me, gave me a letter stating she was bored (It was a break up letter she gave me to open after she left, all it said was "I'm bored") and the next day I discovered she was pregnant and decided to get rid of it for the reason of "Boys won't find me pretty anymore" It left a massive mark on me which made my views VERY one sided for many MANY years, sadly this is related to the majority of abortions and although it hurt like all fuck, most people getting abortions are showing they would be horrible parents. Not wanting to take responsibility for your actions and decisions isn't really a good parenting trait so... I hate it to all fuck but I can't condemn it entirely.

Nobody likes abortion. And its not a decision anyone takes lightly, or one that has no lasting emotional toll. But what I think is worse than abortion is children born into misery. Unwanted children, abandoned children, children born into unfit, broken homes etc.

I believe the choice to abort is the woman's choice and hers alone.

The other side of the coin here is curving unwanted pregnancies. I think we need to be open about sex and teach safe sex in schools. Young people need easy access to birth control. They need to be educated in safe sex, not abstinence.

I know a "friend" that had an abortion. She was messing around with a guy, having sex, and then a couple months later she found out she was pregnant. Quick decision from her, and she had an abortion. I've never liked that person again.

I can see your point i firmly believe its up to BOTH men and woman to be safe with sex so they dont get themselves in a situation where abortion is even brought up. Abortion is usually a women's choice and most of them don't take it anyway, having a child these days reaps too many benefits, especially in the UK where a girl can get pregnant and fuck the father off and get all the support she needs from the government + the childs father
Most single moms also have a birth ratio which ironically matches the period they get support for off the government
How many women do you know magically get pregnant again when they are due to go back to work or their money decreases

Abortion is two things in one. Its suicide for two, how would you feel when your girlfriend or wife killed or made the right decision of abortion. You can not, a guy has the right to say yes but its the womans decision and they have two mindsets, did i do the right thing or did i destroy happiness. At this point, the lady is thinking why me and life is not worth the air it breaths. Do they jus give birth and never think about death, come on its an automatic response to the world around them. They knew that an birth would bring either happiness or unhappiness, you see from the dawn of women, they knew how to deal with this and its the men that are the clueless ones and will always be. Because women understand how their bodies works and men do not. So going on about it beimg right or wrong and its a womens body and she can do what she wants with it. They have always knew what to do with this situation and its an emotional and damaging and evil feeling any woman can go through and it stays with them until they die. And the ones around them are affected, but not for a long long term. Because they have not grown that baby inside themselfs, therefore the mother is so, emotionally connected and that is why a yes or no vote is never the option. We can not change and should never change a natural thing for a woman to go through. We can vote and have are stats, they mean fuck all. We should help women that either choose or do not choose to abort their baby.
