15 minutes of Ni No Kuni Gamescom footage

The Gamescom demo of Ni no Kuni has hit the web, showcasing gameplay and story footage.
The demo was hands-on and was narrated by GameSpot UK's editor, Guy Cocker alongside Namco's Hollie Bennett.
Ni No Kuni will be launching in English territories early next year, with a January 22 and 25 release for North America and Europe, respectively.

So good, can't wait for this. We need more games like this for sure. Reminds me of Dragon Quest with the style.

I really want to like this game because I finally want to get back to RPGs but everything just seems so minimalistic. Even the boss battle only sports some tiny fireball attacks and some other small effects.

I like it when you can actually feel the impact of your actions with giant magic attacks and creature summons a la Final Fantasy.

This is extremely early in the game, the main character has only just arrived in the world and he hasn't even changed into his adventure clothing yet. I'm pretty sure much more spells are unlocked as well as those little creatures he summons.

I was thinking the same thing when we first saw the game in action. And I love the series. Level-5 did develop Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King for the PS2.
